What do you think about Switch Online on Switch 2

I know Switch 2 is gonna let you use the default Switch Online games. But do you think it will get new games not available on Switch 1. Like Gamecube or so on. I also wonder if the Switch Online games will stop being released on Switch 1 online.

I think it's rather likely that GC emulation will come to the Switch Online service exclusively for Switch 2. There's been too many rumblings about it in the recent year.

No one shall be brought before our LORD David Bowie without the true and secret knowledge of the Photoshop. For in that time, so shall He appear.
You mean the NSO games? I imagine they won’t change much at all. I bet we’ll see GameCube and maybe even DS. The service will otherwise stay exactly the same: slow drip of games over time.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

I dunno, the Gamecube starts getting into milked remaster territory. Everyone would jump sideways to buy a Wind Waker or Twilight Princess on the Switch for $60, no way Nintendo is going to just re-release those games on their NSO service, even the higher tier.

We've already had quite a few successful remasters from that era: Metroid Prime, Baten Kaitos, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Pikmin, Paper Mario...

That's why I don't think GameCube VC is happening. Nintendo's kept their release pipeline full with ports between new releases and while they've remade games older than the Cube, the difference in those instances is much greater than the potential differences of something like a Wind Waker port versus Wind Waker VC.

They can still do that. Super Mario 3D All Stars didn't stop Nintendo from putting Super Mario 64 on NSO.

They will probably attempt to raise its price. They may stop offering the cheaper version and make the expanded one the default. Or they may add more features/consoles to justify the price hike.

I just want to be able to play my games online without paying.
