I think people's disappointment largely stems from the fact that this is the most heavily leaked/talked about/rumored consumer electronics device of the last five years.

We knew precisely its dimensions, features, specs, and design elements before the video...the video just confirms what we already know. The only questions at this point are software (always the most important question, but particularly from Nintendo), and what the hell is up with the mouse controls.

Gamers have nobody to blame but themselves if they are disappointed by the new Switch and it's reveal.

I can’t really form a solid opinion yet. But honestly, it feels like the coldest console reveal I’ve ever seen. Maybe what bugged me is how Nintendo seems to treat it like a phone company dropping a new model.

I need to see the games and how the console performs in TV mode, 'cause I’m not a handheld guy.

the Switch looks like a hybrid console but the Switch 2 truly looks like a handheld that we can plug into the TV.
The Dock with less plastic generated this perception in me.

From what they have shown, it’s like a Switch Pro to me. A bit bigger with better graphics.
