Wife and I bought a house. Moved in about 3 weeks ago now. First time homeowners so it's a lot to take in. Our realtor was great and she got us a nice credit at closing to use for repairs based on the inspection report.

It's been good so far. My office / game room will be rewired in a month : still got them 2 prong outlets in here. Not as pricey as I thought but yeah, still not cheap.

Dualsense Edge. I had initially dismissed this as an overpriced novelty for super sweaty CoD players but after my thumbs have gotten increasingly fucked up from games that require a lot of pushing in the sticks I caved and got one. Never having to push those sticks in is priceless, the back switches are a godsend.

Transparent shell for the Steam Deck. It cost £28 including delivery, and arrived from China to the UK in a week. Nice quality plastic - I was expecting something a bit rough but it's as good as the original shell. I mixed it up a bit by using the original d-pad and face buttons for contrast, but you can have the entire thing transparent if you so desire.

replaced my old Kindle Paperwhite 11th gen with the new Kindle Paperwhite 12th gen. The new one with no ads is £170 but Amazon gave me £64 off it when I traded in my 11th gen.

Guess what one is what (not to scale and looking on Amazon or Google is cheating). There are small differences but they look pretty much the same:

The only difference between them is one has a slightly larger screen (0.2"), has double storage, and one has a faster processor making everything load faster.

I ordered T2 in 4K from Amazon. It arrives tomorrow.

I went to watch my Blu-ray copy last night. The entire blue case fell apart when I opened it. What a cheap piece of shit. Anyway, it made for a great reason to upgrade this all time classic to 4K. Stock photo.

On my phone at work and can’t get an image to load.

Got some new shoes. 3 pairs.

Shoe store says they match prices. Showed them a pic of Amazon selling one of the exact same shoes..... "but we dont match Amazon". Bought that shoe off Amazon for $15 cheaper.

Shoes and clothes are high margin products. I guess they prefer making $0 profit than still making probably $50 profit. Oh well.

And I absolutely love the design of this card so got this…

Started playing TCG Pocket and have been hooked so wanted to buy cards. Got some backdated money and earned some interest on savings so it’s “free” and I won’t miss the money.

Total £496

EDIT: I've bought some more :messenger_loudly_crying:

New laptop on a very nice sale to £599. 14inch 16:10 OLED touch screen, 120hz, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 75w battery with USB-C charging and finger print sensor.

I don't do any editing so didn't need anything more fancy and couldn't find anything else which offered these specs and features for such a low price.
