I tried a couple steaks last night. They were really good, but I have to adjust a bit. The cook temp was a bit high, and my sear was off as I didn't have the pan hot enough. Loved the results for my first time, though!

Complicated to; fiddly at times, very. Mostly just trying to reach in really tight spaces and put in a washer and then nut to do up. It feels like you need 3x kids size hands, not 2x adult hands at times. Not gonna lie, mounting the rear end, putting in the 1 screw / nut for the head to assemble and from memory one other part that I remember but eludes me now was very very frustrating. It looks awesome assembled though. I love these kind of things.

Speaing of which, I think I found the rest of those MU Model transformers I was after; Jazz, Wheeljack, Megatron, Shockwave and the one I really really wanted and couldn't find bloody anywhere, Soundwave. We'll see if they arrive and are the real deal, but super hopeful.

Also finished my first lil one today that I bought to practice with as I won't have any real chances to stuff up the bigger models and these smaller cheaper ones aren't as difficult and at least give me a chance to get my eye in and sharpen up on the best method to approach these as I've never done them before.

I'm kind of pedantic so I don't want to stuff it up and I want to try and keep all the penal lines sharp and free of gaps so it'l take some more learning, but this did come up ok. Only small at about 4 or 5cm tall, the mainline ones are closer to 28cm and significantly more parts.

Picked her up yesterday. AWD Taurus Interceptor 3.7L. Paid 9k down cash and got a good deal i think. We walked out on the deal at first, we were honestly blind sided by their fees and tactics. We left because I did not want to put what they were asking me to put, and I thought that was the end of it.

We walked out, got in our car and headed home. Then, they called me back on my cell halfway down the road to close the deal at what we wanted, boss of the dealership okayed it. Se we turned back. Ended up getting the car for what we originally asked for.

Once we got back we closed the deal, and I ended up gettinga 4 year warranty for it which covers the water pump(I asked), tranny and motor. Im against buying warranty for cars, but I feel better for this one, I dont have to worry about it. Also, it just goes to show, dont be afraid to walk away from a car deal. If you are feeling you are being ripped off or being taken advantage of, and trust me you will know when this is happening to you, just walk away.

By walking away we saved at least $2000 and their bullshit "certification" fees. Car is awesome, super low idle hours and a dream to drive through snow. 60k miles 500 idle hours. Personally having the cash on hand helped in our favor, they were not happy we had such a big down payment, they wanted me to only put down $2500 lol , when I had almost 10K for the car, which meant lesser rates for them with a large down payment.

I guess financing is where they make all their money and they dont want to finance someone who puts down 50-80 percent of the cost. But to deny a sale because of it? That just poor salesmanship at that pojnt, glad they changed their mind.

Have had a look through the instructions and there's nothing complicated but definitely looks like you need to be really fastidious with folling the correct order and not missing anything; something my ADD brain sometimes struggles with with respect to focus.

So keen to get into it tho

Pulled the trigger on a 1TB Steam Deck OLED.

It'll do until the ROG Ally 2 lands in the summer, assuming it comes with at least an 8in screen, OLED would be nice, but I'll take it with VRR if not.

Only really want to use the SD for emulation and old games in my library, so not too bothered about it being a bit long in the tooth and underpowered now...it's not going to be playing Cyberpunk or anything like that.

currently looking to buy a 3-1 wireless charger for my phone, watch, and earphones. i currently have a charger with cables for them but it's pissing me off. i'm having to constantly plug cables in, tidy them up, unroll them, remove one thing to charge so i can charge another! so i'm looking for a good quality 3-1 charger so i don't have to fuck about with this shit anymore. i've had enough!

Cyberpunk has no right running or looking as good as it does on Steam Deck.

the default settings are really good. yeah it's only 30fps but for a handheld it looked better than i expected. totally playable and not a complete mess like some other (less demanding) games.

but yeah... it's great for emulation

bought a fuck load of singles too. i'm not sure i will financially recover fucking pokemon cards man.

i'm impressed with how many games run on what is a linux OS. i hope Valve keep it up. i really want SteamOS 3.0 for desktop....

Makes sense, they put the prices low so people can justify the cost but make their money on the interest. I think you probably got a great deal - low finance fees and the price you wanted to pay! Congrats!

In Europe you usually can return within 30 days, undamaged and complete in the original package of course.

Yes, the ergonomics of original Switch are truly terrible, no handheld ever should have flat sides .

the switch hurt to use but the steam deck was much more comfortable.

it wasn't really the steam deck. it's a great device for sure. i've just been struggling to enjoy games lately and i didn't need a £500-600 device which i felt like i wasted my money on. even considered selling my PC. maybe when Steam Deck 2 comes out and if I'm feeling better then I might grab one. I love what they are doing with Steam OS/Linux.

The 7800+ is a solid retro system that can be hooked up to a modern TV. I had a 2600+ already, but it felt weird playing 7800 games on a 2600. Now life is back to normal, playing 7800 games on a 7800 and having 2600 backwards compatibility.

The new wireless CX78 joypads work great and it's nice not having to deal with wires.

The new games are solid, but the previous 7800 re-releases of Food Fight, Ninja Golf and Fatal Run are better games.

If you get one, also get a CX26 joystick, as many 2600 games were designed around that joystick and play better with it, instead of the joypads. The Atari 7800 Proline joystick is also nice to have, as some 7800 gamed play better with the 7800 joystick.

new phone case and 3-1 charger for my phone, watch, and earphones.

i hate using wires to charge up my phone/watch and my watch/airpods need to use the same cable which is annoying if i need to charge both at the same time.

i know wireless charging isn't efficient and is slower but i don't care anymore.

nothing wrong with my current case but not sure it will work as it's not magsafe. so got a magsafe one.
