If the user numbers are up to around 79.5K like OpinionatedCyborg says, but there are 65K active users, then that leaves around 14,000 profiles that are either banned or not activated. Right?

To be completely serious, my memory (in life, not just for this forum) isn't the best in the world. When it comes to GAF, I've forgotten a TON of stuff over the past decade- my time as a mod/admin included. I can honestly only remember getting banned for 2 things (posting that joke porn thread and the do something new every day thread... pretty sure the Nintendogs incident got me de-adminned, but not banned), yet I know that I've probably been banned ~10 times in the past 10 years.

But I'll echo what you said early in this thread, in that you were a kid during GAF's beginning, and so was I. I think you and I are around the same age actually. Breaking the rules and making people laugh back then was the best thing ever, but when you reach your late twenties like I have, you change. I still like to try to crack people up, but I don't think I've been banned in a few years now, whereas in the earlier days, it used to be every few months.

Anyway, I'm sorry if I caused a bunch of grief for you back then.

If we're talking about tags, is there a way to find out who gives them out? I'd really like to know who thinks I'm a dumbass who makes terrible posts, and should shut the fuck up. I'm sure there are multiple people who think that (hopefully they aren't paid to think), but I wanna know who made that tag for me.

I do remember what my GAF password used to be though, and I have no idea how it was guessed. It was just one word with no numbers, but it wasn't exactly common or anything.

I'm curious if Dragona is the one that gave me my tag or Bish. Either way, it's a GAF moment for me because I wasn't more than a Junior Member of about 24-72 hours and I suddenly had a tag from the David Bowie thread for criticizing other peoples posts because they looked nothing like David Bowie except in hair style.

Went to sleep, came back and had a tag. I was like "WHAT THE FUCK!?" and laughed at it for a good five minutes.

Sounds about right. I'm sure a large number of GAF accounts are held by lurkers. My brother has held an account for almost two years, but is too afraid to post. I think he posted in one of my essential rpg threads once, but he'll be a junior forever. I'm sure a large number of members fall into that category.

I've never gotten my purple because I've trained inconsistently and gym-hopped around for the past four years. Train for four months, stop for four months because of work, switch gyms, train for two months, injure knee for five months, that sort of thing.

I'm back on the wagon again, maybe purple will finally be in my sights soon.

I had no idea about this. Scarlet was a pretty nice mod and Dragona kept the casual misogyny to a minimum from what I can recall. Kinda sad to hear what happened.
