Windows Central: Xbox Dev Direct's Mystery Game is a 'New Entry in Legendary Japanese IP'

I'm betting on NG4. Between toy announcements, and some hints from TN it seems possible. Also kind of an Xbox aligned franchise, but who knows really. We do know team ninja is planning to release something this year I believe.

Panzer Dragoon Saga 2 (on Wednesday, no less!)

But realistically, only thing that comes into my mind is Ninja Gaiden 4, which I would love to have. When I think of any legendary Japanese Xbox (semi exclusive) games - only NGB/NG2 enters in my mind.

Microsoft is everywhere now so no need for an Xbox connection, could be any big 3rd party ip that has been on hiatus for awhile

Dead or Alive
Ninja Gaiden
Soul Calibur
Shinobi
Metal Gear

It's probably Ecco since Sega just trademarked that.

Edit: or maybe not because someone just said it's not a Japanese game. I always thought it was.

New Onimusha
Calling it now, has the pedigree and decades tag fine, assuming it happens give us remakes of all the other PS2 games pls capcom

It's going to be new Castlevania. Souls like in some ways, but more focused on exploration than hard fights. Also will have a booming soundtrack rather than silence.

We are due for a new Ninja Gaiden.

They did announce a pretty cool looking 2D NG game at TGA as well, but I guess yes we haven't had a big budget 3D NG game in a long while.

I feel like since we're getting a 2D one that rules out a 3D one. Ideally I would love for the announcement to be a brand new 3D Castlevania.

Finally, Bloodborne 2 ,Sony couldn't do anything about the ip for 10 years because Myiazaki was constantly busy....

....betraying Sony and using their own IP behind their back to use exclusively on the rival platform. Biggest betrayal ever!

Little did he know that since everything is an Xbox it will now be available on PS5 as well as your fridge.

Have to say I don't see the point of announcing a Japanese game at an Xbox event.

I remember when the Vesperia remake was announced. There were a few lost weebs cheering but most of those Burgers had no idea what they were looking at.
