mp100 > opm in every format
Not sure if this is the place to ask but are there any sci-fi anime series this season? I really enjoyed ReZero and was interested in Erased and Orange last year.
AnimeGAF is alt-right according to the OT anyway.
the crazier thing is people trying to say mp100 has the better opening song >.>
I mean it's not a bad opening but it's no OPM opening.
Wait. People saying Mob Psycho 100 is better than One Punch Man? Crazy! OPM is awesome from episode one. While I now like MP100, it took a few episodes for me to get into it. That automatically makes OPM superior. I also like both in terms of animation, but Mob though has instances where it's animation would get inconsistent or weird.
I dunno. I just enjoyed OPM from beginning to end more than Mob.

Comparing only the shows and not the stuff left to adapt, there's not even a contest between OPM and Mob. The latter is simply superior.
I don't think people are "saying" so much as they stating agreed about facts. Like the Earth rotates around the Sun, and that Mob Psycho 100 is better than One Punch Man.
I'm sorry, but everything about this post is wrong.
Oh Gorō Taniguch you troll lol.

I'll say that personally Murata's version of OPM falls as flat as the anime. Or almost. It has to be ONE's shitty stuff with sprinkles of 'whoa' to really that sweet spot of entertainment.I mean I like One Punch Man a lot but Mob Psycho is a lot better made and written, and doesn't get boggled down with unnecessary baggage like OPM. OPM's premise, while good and immediately captivating, hardly lends itself for extended storylines or anything like that, which is where the Murata manga fails.
OPM was clearly supposed to be a parody/gag series, while MP100 was more serious from the get-go. When they both moved towards the same direction, Mob's strengths just showed more.
In the end its like Eyes Wide Shut and Dr. Strangelove - I like Eyes Wide Shut just fine, but compared to the guys other stuff...
I've seen one punch man 3 times and enjoyed it each time. I haven't even bothered checking out the mob dub yet as I don't know if I care enough to rewatch it (I did put it in my top 10 last year, but it just doesn't have much rewatch appeal to me)OPM is one of those non serious shows that you only watch once and never again because if you try watching it again you'll just get super annoyed.
Like the argument with KLK & TTGL earlier, I was able to finish and enjoy Mob, but I cannot say the same about OPM.
KLK, OPM... this is not the same animeGAF anymore which I was so tsundere about.
If I want to be bored the first few episodes but want to watch *some* character development, I would watch Mob Psycho 100. (Although, let's be real, Mob really isn't a different character than he is from the first episode. Not even his Sensei. Everyone else around them change.)
corn.... you are usually better than this
and here I was gonna let you know I am rewatching clannad and finding the relationship better this time around
*in b4 corn points out I am confusing him for someone else lol*
Don't punish Clannad! Clannad is great stuff. Do it for me now. :,(

or you merely watch videos like
Mob's character growth is the long game. It really goes to some great places.
to be fair in my original watch I gave clannad a 8/10 and after story a 9/10 despite not finding the characters very charismatic or enjoyable (I liked the actual situations the characters were put in, but I still can't tell you who 75% of the female cast is lol)
due to my rewatch I have lowered clannad to a 7/10, but I have found the main male more interesting mostly cause I forgot how much of a dick he is.
Nagisa on the other hand is still super boring :/
I just got up to episode 13 on after story in my rewatch. Many feels will be felt soon. I forgot most of the stuff in the first 8 episodes, but in general my memories hold true that after story is much better.

I did that two with the first series upon rewatching it. But After Story always holds up for me. I think I rate Clannad 8/10 on my MAL, where I rate After Story a 10/10. (I know, I know, but I just like it so much. Still my favorite.)
I also notice something different every time I do rewatch it, which I love.

The OPM anime's art direction outside of the battle sakuga is just so bland. Mob Psych 100 looks all around fantastic and delivers equally as good, if not better animation during the fights. I mean, OPM didn't manage to elicit the same reactions I had when watching MS100 ep8.

mods plz ban tumblr gifs. again. tia
I did have one problem with MP100, it turned me off from it. The storyline is supportive of pacifism, diplomacy and overcoming personal struggles which is great but I don't see that being reflected in the way it is presented. Episode 8(?) in particular had a bloody intense fight sequence which eventually even lead to a series of even more intense encounters - they're crafted in a way that it stands out more than its supposed to, i.e. the violence feels more appealing than the substance of its narrative. It gets to a point where I didn't care any more about Mob's or Reigen's ideals, it's fine if it is intended but I don't see where the show is going with it. When Reigen takes control in the final episode, it feels like a typical deus ex machina moment but now with condescending lectures.
Towards the end we also see the delinquent in school also had a sudden change of heart which is a bit abrupt but again, it is fine; it was really weird hearing him articulate his internal struggle precisely, he is a delinquent right. A lot of the themes the narrative tried to tackle are things that interest me but just not the way MP100 does it.
mob psycho is ugly and most characters suffer from same face.
it has great animation though and is the only reason the show is even watchable
ONE tells good stories, but he can't draw very well at all so animating his art style is just not appealing to me at all.
and with that I go to bed as I have to get up for work in a few hours lol.
the weird thing about mob is that the adaptation actually kept ONE's weird artstyle but somehow made it all look great.
Like, ONE is a really good foundational artist. His paneling, the way he frames shots, they're all brilliant. It's just the way he draws things is kinda garbage. The way Mob Psycho takes things is it gets the essence and the style of ONE's drawings and, like, corrects all the weird perspective shit or the weird inconsistencies that he doesn't bother doing half the time.
In some ways OPM feels more stilted by comparison
(The funny thing about OPM is that Murata usually just takes ONE's panels verbatim and just redraws them in his hyperdetailed style)

so instead of X vs Y. how about you all just read The Promised Neverland and agree it's a good series
Nisemonogatari ep 9,10,11
Well would you look at that, the show is good when actual things are happening. Some new characters even show up and Kaiki gets to come back just to be an asshole to Araragi. Older Shinobu is a way better looking design than the kid version, really wish she looked like that instead.
So is Second Season next? Tsuki? Neko Black? Kizu??? Why are there so many damn seasons.
It's nothing like Scum's Wish. The source material is a slow paced and boring love triangle featuring indecisive and dense characters. It's not particularly racy and there really aren't many "lies."
How very timely.
