Suffice to say that so far you only had one 5 star summonable male unit with an actual banner in the game, since Xiangli Yao was free.

Calcharo and Lingyang don't count.

It's actually crazy.

It's not just that they are in the game and have great cutscenes, their character stories are also fantastic and really develop the characters and flesh them out. Really top tier character writing compared to most gachas out there, in my opinion.

My only complaint is that once their patch is gone, you basically never see them in official capacity anymore. I guess that moon festival brought them back to varying degrees, but yea. Poor Yinlin became a circus act lol.

Meanwhile, Calcharo hasn't even appeared yet in the released games story. They removed his quest after Beta 1 involving the monkey boss, because Kuro rushed and redeveloped all of V1.0 and so he will reappear in a later region. Yinlin will come back once Calcharo reappears because they share some connection.
