First party finally delivering.

buTayh think of The DeVS and MoneY LOsTtt

Let Microsoft worry about the financial side of it, and enjoy the best deal in gaming.

Lots of good stuff there but Fable is the real prize for me. It's been so long since 3 came out and this new one looks fantastic.

Pretty pumped for Avowed and Outer World 2, too. It's gonna be a good year for Game Pass in spite of all the doom and gloom around the brand

It's a great service. The combination of day 1 first-party releases, fairly regular good quality third-party offerings and a very large catalogue really sets it apart from any other subscription service.

Or a game. I couldn’t afford those $60-$80 games back in late 80s and early to mid 90s as a high school kid and then college. I was poor AF, lol.

So rentals, trading with friends, buying used and PC piracy went a long way!
My wife and I loved having movie nights and still enjoy going out to the movies often.

We would have a movie night every couple of weeks or so and our Doberman at the time LOVED laying on the couch between us

He knew what movie nights meant so much we would come home with a couple and he would grab them and run them to the TV

Honest truth

That’s pretty awesome. And yeah, I still love having physical movie media and going to the movies in this age of streaming. 👍

Gamepass is awesome if you're a kid or teen with no job nor responsibilities and you can game all day everyday if you want. But for an adult that has a job, a wife/husband, kids, i just don't see how you're going to have enough time to play on gamepass to justify the price of it. I feel like alot of adults have to use their time wisely so they're going to be more selective in what they play meaning it makes more sense to buy what they want because that game will hold them over for awhile and they're not stuck in a subscription service.

People say they're not profiting with gamepass but yet they keep putting more games there, specifically day 1 games.

So are they really thriving and people just don't know the numbers behind the scenes or what?

gamepass is bad since you dont own the games.
Then cable TV, Spotify, Netflix, Disney+ and PSN are bad too since you dont own any content either.

Key difference is Gamepass you get first party games day one and the third party games that get added are a lot more recent than PS+.

PS+ you dont even get all the first party games since Sony rotates them. What a rip off.

You can get it for like $10 a month with minimal effort. In the last month I played through Indy which was worth more than that by itself in addition to a couple other games that would have cost me 10-20 each. It's actually perfect if you have kids since kids are expensive and kids love playing video games.

Is this a confirmation that gears isn’t this year? Not that I was expecting it.

OP just curated the games that we know are confirmed / announced with 2025 dates, we don't know what else is releasing in general, or on the service, for the entire year yet.

You'd think people would know full well what a 'subscription service' is, yet there's always one or two of these 'but derrr u don't ownn itttt' kind of posts in these topics.

Odd.

And youre the guy who always states you dont care about old games. So why does owning it forever matter?

Deez Nuts GIF

Because I don’t always complete them in a timely fashion

I don’t want to be held hostage to a sub service

Games also get DLC that requires ownership of the base games

Nothing stops you from buying DLC for games on GP or PS+.
