I'm really looking forward to this one being released, as I think it may be my best translation work to date (especially given the tight character limits!). I'm pretty proud of it.
Brandish kicks ass, pure and simple. For those who played and didn't enjoy the SNES version, give it another try here -- the PSP version literally fixes every single thing that people disliked about the original while adding a bunch of extra stuff too (like more complex boss battles, and 10 additional dungeon floors that you play through as Dela), and may very well be one of the best dungeon-crawlers I've ever played.
I'm also the translator on it, and can assure you I've gone to great pains to keep the dark, eerie atmosphere of the game wholly intact. No inserted humor, no memes, none of those things you guys have hated me for in the past (heheh) -- if there's anything weird or silly in the translation, it's because it was weird or silly in the original Japanese and has been translated accurately.
I even made some of the boss names a little less Engrishy to keep them from breaking immersion -- Crab Devil, for example, is now "Karkinos." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karkinos)

I'd like to know this as well, along with the pricing since each pack was around 2,315 yen/$22.60.Bon Appetit will release both chapters at the same time or stagerred releases like the JP version?
Actually, yes, that's probably the most welcome difference between the PC and PSP versions: PC version has a fast-forward feature. And it is FAST.
Kinda disappointed Brandish isn't getting a PC release, but this is still great news .
Hmm, might ignore my unplayed PSP version then...
Are you one of the translators on SoS, Tom? I can't wait for it to be localized, it's such a fun game.
Mmmh, I don't like those face icons in Corpse Party. I think the character portraits are cooler
Ahh, thanks for the response Tom! Looking forward to Akiba's Trip then Thanks for the added in manservice~I've done some minimal editing so far, but no, I'm not really involved in that project -- of the announced titles, I'm mostly involved with Akiba's Trip, Corpse Party and Brandish.

Dekamori is coming out so quickly. I really hope this means you guys can get SK2 out just as fast. And a physical release for SK2!!
I'm getting kinda curious about Akiba's Trip.
Where does it fall on the moe/fanservice/JRPG/whatnot scale?
It gave me that classic and awesome overhead view action adventure vibe that Ys: OiF gave me when I played it def. grabbing it day 1. Kudos for the Vita support BTW =DBrandish kicks ass, pure and simple. Anyone know if the PC version of Corpse Party has the same stupid difficulty spike early on (when you need to?)escape from a ghost in a room, can die instantly and you're 15 minutes away from the last save point
Are you sure? I remember at least a few minutes of having to backtrack. Maybe it's just a lot of text that needed to be skipped?Er, 15 minutes away? There's a save candle right there in the room with you. You can literally save almost immediately before it, in both the PC and PSP versions.
And the PC version has text-skip features, so it's even quicker to resume if you happen to get killed there.

Brandish is as good as bought. I'm not really interested in Corpse Party though... I'm kinda sad this is what you guys meant by more PC support.
It's... not, really. I mean, it's part of it, but this is just one announcement. We also have Trails 1 and 2 on their way, and a whole mess of possible pick-ups for the future...

Do steam cards. Its a gold mine for anime style games.See my above response.

We still have yet to do the whole Steam Card thing, as we really haven't had time for it with all the other stuff going on -- but this might be a good time to start looking into it...

The trading cards for Corpse Party should each feature a corpse
Yay Trails is still alive, what ever happened to that winter release date? (I know the script is massive)
