I can understand the speculation that quality will suffer but on the contrary, quality may rise. We don't know how it's gonna play out yet but I can imagine a difference in culture where devs aren't chasing units sold anymore and how that can impact game design.The problem is the suspiscious quality of the games behind a paywall like that and MS keep making low budget games as the next big thing.
I am excited for Séries X but Im not sure is the one that Will offer quality AAA exclusives.
Im not confident about SX perfomance as well. Seems like devs are facing problema, RT coming late on patchs
You see game sales follow certain market trends, whether that be game genre(the fps craze), mechanics (fluid movement systems), or game modes(battle royale) and (some)publishers pressure devs into constantly playing a game of copycat. What if Game pass evolves in a way that eliminates those publisher pressures and allows devs to focus on their vision rather than building a game that does everything while mastering none, all to hit sales or revenue goals.
May also allow for longer dev cycle when needed. If a publisher is strapped for cash, they are known for doing everything in their power to push games out so they can see a return on their investment.
To sum it up, a game being developed for gamepass may allow for more creative freedom along with additional benefits.
I probably will be proven wrong but just a thought I had.

Hell, i ran into Best Buy this morning after their WebSite kept crashing on me, the Manager told me i couldn’t PreOrder instore, & that it was cooperate rules, i would have to do it Online. I hung out outside Best Buy in my ride for 30 more min trina PreOrder, then went shopping still the whole time trina PreOrder, crash after crash after crash!!! it wasn’t until i got home and went on my Home Computer that it went through quick!

Nope. Nothing has gone my way. But Ill just be patient and tell myself that I don't HAVE to HAVE one pre-ordered right now.
I teach at high school and with this virtual shit taking up so much of my time so having one on release isn't an absolute must. If I can get one and/or a PS5 before Thanksgiving that will be great.

I'm homeschooling my daughter and I thought it was going to be a cake walk..... I was wrong. I remember thinking "this should only take us like 3-4 hours a day without us having to wait on other kids to finish their work". NOPE. 7-9 hours a day. I can't imagine trying to keep a whole gang of teenagers engaged all day.

as prime, ive never had a problem. but as non prime i remember a couple times shit wasnt even shipped until 2 days after released.
bestbuy is good at getting it there day 1, if I didn't have prime I would've bought it there for that reason alone, because otherwise I hate bestbuy.

guess just day 1 sales. Probably wouldn't be hard to beat the Xbox one and the Xbox 360 was pretty limited on release if I recall, but again I'm just guessing no idea

Yeah, One X sales were pretty low, partly from it being discontinued, partly because we were all in holding patterns for the new console. 700% of 1 is still just 7.

Never had a System delivered from BB, but have had MANY games day one, & with oweing over $7000 on my Best Buy Credit Card, with more then half of that in Video Games, i never once received a late order, they have always been ontime & consistent. Unfortunately I can’t say the same about Amazon Prime.

I was luckily able to get a Series X from Best Buy after trying for 4 hours. I gave up, got in the car to drive to an appointment, and at a red light I thought "fuck it let me try one more time" and it finally worked as I held up traffic putting in my card details.

No bullshit one passed me going the opposite way while my light was green and I was just sitting there. I looked up and I thought we made eye contact for a split second.
And then I just kept doing my thing and ordering because I spammed that pre order button for 4 fucking hours with no luck on Best Buy .com and I wasnt going to stop once I finally was able to get it in my cart. Middle of the road or not.
