That is a lot of profit for them if the game cost them 40 million dollars

The game is awesome I believe that it will be my GOTY. I dont think anything will come close to this level of quality unless we get GTA6 this year.

I recommend everyone to play it because its a masterpiece and its what we deserve as players, good stories, good writing, reactive world, decisions and all that in the most polished way possible

Congrats to the team for this and I hope they keep making more games of this franchise

Currently playing through the first one and loving it. Super excited to play the sequel, which from all accounts sounds like it's better in every way.

Well deserved. It's not a perfect game. There's flaws. But the good greatly outshine the bad. I also just learned master strike. Excited to see how easy combat can get now.

It's not massively different. Not sure why even some preview/review tried to paint the two games as different beasts.

It's basically the first one but bigger and a bit more polished.

First game took a year to sell 2 million. Impressive step up and well deserved. There is no RPG of similar scale with such complex simulation, mechanics and immersion.

so i made a huge mistake in playing the first game before i dive into the second, even tho i bought it already, and ill be here for 500 hours.

See you in 2026 when i finish them both

If they released the game in any other month, they could have 3 mil by now. Probably many bought Civ/Avowed or MH.
Not wrong but also this game is going to have legs just like Witcher 3. It'll be a game that the modding community keep alive for years and people will come to at a later date.

Well deserved

Also not everybody is interested in a medieval RPG/simlike game. Saying "oh it could have had 3 million if it released in another month" is such a dumb hypothetical

Yep, considering the game is a hardcore sim RPG like you get only once or twice a generation, this is a very good result

Assuming 40 million was just for development and another 40 million for publishing/advertising and 30% to the stores, just selling 2 million units would profit about $18 million. Here's hoping it only makes more before a price drop. Well deserved.

Amazing and everything I hoped for. About 10 hours in and loving it. I took a 5 hour detour to do missions and side prep for the first big mission (wedding related)

Nice! My household bought two copies and we're lovin it.

I predict the game will last me about as long as Elden Ring did. Which means I have about 350 hours of bliss to go.

Can happen....i am at 110h....still on first map! :messenger_sunglasses: (but I am playing really slow...just because I can :messenger_winking_tongue:)

It's a great game.

I also wish that they tackled fantasy genre in this simulation style, it's been 14 years since Skyrim.

(please improve the combat though)

Really all I need. Especially because the first one looks like crap on consoles.

No RPG really comes close currently, imo, except for something like Cyberpunk. GTA 6 will be the next game that'll really compete/surpass KCD2.

I haven't bought this so, correct if I'm wrong:

But this is a singleplayer experience, correct? No live service bullshit or anything like that?

Gee, I wonder why it's doing so well...

Correct, 150+ hours of handcrafted singleplayer storydriven content.
No microtransactions (hello, Capcom)
No DRM (hello, every dumb publisher under the sun)
No stuttering (hello, every UE5 based game)
