The main story is "the onryo", "the league" seems to advance the story as well when you can't make progress on "the onryo".
If the quest giver or target is blinking on the objectives board, it means they progress the story in some way.

i never said the game looked bad, its just look boring as hell like every AC game since Origins ( and i tried all of them ), but, it it looks really good.We're telling you man its good! Ofcourse it has some quirks and niggles but its better than previous games in most ways

I must say that the gameplay in this game when it comes to infiltrating and stealth is one of the best if not the best in the franchise. Being able to crawl under hidden spaces, hide in the ceiling, the light and dark system etc. Its really satisfying, these guys have cooked

Don't sleep on the Naoe skill to use a reed to breathe under shallow water when prone. Has already saved my ass a half dozen times.
These enemies are kinda relentless when they know you're around. Love it.
Edit: Some pretty awesome sound design here. You can hear her breathing through the reed while shes underwater

Do me a favor and try to repair the game on steam's properties. See if that helps. I wonder if maybe when you did the preload during the encryption some files were corrupted.

Passed the four hour mark today. Gotta say the weather effects in the 40fps mode on the Pro are exceptional. I didnāt play much of the āmodernā AC games so some of this loot and materials stuff is pretty new to me. Also weird to not be in a sprawling city full of things to climb.

I did Japanese for a bit but then I kept missing stuff that was said because I got distracted. But yeah.....the Engrish is rough.
kinda crazy how they ended up in a situation, where random npc's you talk to, has better v.o than your main character.

Dont think you can scout out optional fortresses. Its not a quest just an optional fort where you have to find 3 generals and kill them to loot treasure

Ouch at the user scores, ubi can't catch a break.
I agree above with the vague directions as well. The blue markers aren't too bad but finding that tea guy, who is in a house was a pita.
Also if you disable the quest detail in the top left it seems to also disable the L2 spotting mechanism as well which cost me way more time.
I'm giving it a bit more time because I'm pretty sure you can stealth through some of the early fortresses but I think you're meant to actually unlock the skills like the double tanto assassination, extra health bar gone with assassination etc.
They've really amped the noise up though, in terms of squeaky floorboards and the noise when you kill them. Honestly I've put the wheelie bins out with less noise. Inside you can forget it unless you want to basically take entire doors out and alert everyone too

The only thing negativity is responsible for is lower sales.
It was only delayed few months. That's not enough to change the game thanks to "negativity".
The game is what it is and was always this. Negativity was stupid and pointless.
Will be funny if ubisoft is gone and that's even more single player games out of business...

Pretty sure canon mode also automatically selects the ācorrectā dialogue option during conversations. Not really sure what the benefit of this mode is honestly.
You can toggle the speech to Japanese without it having any consequences on the gameplay though.

I don't think the japanese vo's are better, just different, but its basically the same archtypical performances all over again. It does work for some characters because they speak in a more poetic fashion that can't really be translated into another language, but overall it's nothing I haven't heard before.
Perhaps merciful naoe does a better job in japanese, but kill em all, revenge driven, kill bill fueled naoe sounds good in english.

Ive finished every main AC game since the 1st, apart from Mirage, and I dont care how much ppl shit on this, so far its in my top 3 of all of them and I'm not even halfway. For me they nailed this, from the excellent stealth to the insane season/weather systems, very immersive game so far. Lots of cool emergent moments when trying to perfect stealth a temple. Also one of the nicest looking games ive played on PC. Top marks from me Ubi

They are generally packed with resources to upgrade the hideout with, but also every daisho is a mastery point, so if a castle has 5 of them walking around, that's 5 mastery points you're skipping out on.
Seems like Ubi is trying to remove the review bomb posts, which just incites them more and causes them to post more one star reviews claiming the truth is being suppressed.

Wtf is up with this water? Weird color. Look at my horse after exiting it, looks like he is covered in oil lol and check out the reflection of the environment on him. Base horse btw. Also, framegen stopped working for me, no option for the DLSS version, only FSR.
