Switch 2 UK retailers already report sellouts

And idiots on here think it'll flop 😆

Mario Kart 8 is one of the best selling games of all time and the Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle is going to sell fucking millions.

launch sales don't mean shit.
But again the console is priced fairly high, so in the long term it will do less than it could've, but nothing extreme.

Issue is just the games, curious to see the attach rate
 
Pretty much everyone is jerking over Mario Kart World, even people who dislike Nintendo thinks it looks nice, this machine is gonna sell many many millions on that lure alone.

Its good they didnt show Animal Crossing, or else you would have 10 million teenage girls going for it as well.
 
I don't think it will flop, but I also have to agree with those who say that this data doesn't tell us very much. Preorders haven't even officially started yet, so we're talking about a small, non-representative sample (pre-orders from retailers who broke street date) of a small, non-representative sample (total preorders) here.

Smyths went early with pre orders and seems the others followed shortly after.

I got a Very and a John Lewis SW2 with MKW. Will drop one nearer the time. Probably Very.

You could preorder at all retailers.

I got Argos and Very.

Argos already sent me a text saying don't panic its coming so I guess i'll keep that one. Probably keep the other one for a friend, if they don't want it ill see if anyone on here has missed out.

Yeah, I got the text from argos too so I'm just gonna stick with that one.

Just happy I got one.

Hopefully everyone on here gets one who wants one.

I personally think it will sell out everywhere, not only at launch, but for at least the first several months (assuming it's not like $599 in the US because of tariffs). I do think we need to wait for more data before we can get too confident though.
 
damn $80 games are totally gonna be a thing isn't it.

In ZAR it's R1999 (2000) for MK:W

When I first started earning a salary, games were R800...

The games aren't getting that good :messenger_tears_of_joy: . Time to pick up warhammer or some other hobby I just can't justify R2k for most games outside of something like a GTA

With a $80 price tag and the dolar rising games will become unaffordable in my country.

At least subscription services and f2p are still a thing...
