1. A 4070 Super.....

2. 2 PS5 Pros (this is going to anger some people, but it's true)

3. A full racing simulator setup with a dedicated cockpit (300$ avg), Moza R5 wheel & pedals, shifter, handbrake (~730$) and you'd probably still have enough to throw in a 4K TV

4. 6 copies of FL Studio All Plugins edition and a pair of Sennheiser HD650s

I was going to do 10, but I didn't want to spend that much effort on an unserious thread. So you folks will pick up the slack and list the things you can get for the price of a 5090 I failed to list

It's funny when the Pro was released any negative feedback and you were laughed at as being poor, broke, etc. By that logic anyone who doesn't want a 5090 is hella poor!

1. WTF is that PC build?
2. PS5 Pro is $700 (I'm sure you can say you are European but that $2000 wasn't Euro pricing as far as I'm aware so the equivalent would be US price which is $700)

PS5: $499
Xbox Series X: $499
Nintendo Switch OLED: $299
Steam Deck OLED: $679

For $2000 you can buy the entire console lineup in the available market

Since I'm on 1080P and sticking to it, I'll just get a computer for around 1200 to 1300 dollars with a good enough CPU and GPU that should be enough to do well in GTA VI, Elder Scrolls VI modding, and any other big games. And the other 700 for a PS5 Pro which I'll also use as a 4k HD bluray player.

And yet it will sell out in less than 1 second for 6 months or more--and that's not hyperbole, the 4090 literally did exactly that--before consumer AI was really a thing, and with far fewer people looking to upgrade their 3000-Series cards.

Nothing can?

A ps5 pro can play gta 6 at the best possible settings for the next 3 years

They might, but the 5090 can't.

I'm sure it will at some point later

ya'll know what I mean lol. Okay fine, swap out GTA VI for Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2, or Alan Wake II, or Silent Hill 2, or Black Myth Wukong, or Cyberpunk, or whatever other game. Take your pick.

I love how on GAF, the price of the PS5 Pro creeps upwards with every post. Started with $699, then $800, then $1000, next it'll be more expensive than a 5090. What is this phenomenon called?

You are really acktually-ing a joke thread?
This isn't a joke thread, this sentiment is often repeated here and on Reddit that the Pro is a $1000 console. I don't own a Pro yet, and might never get one, based on the shabby PSSR implementations by third party devs, but it's $699, which is nowhere near $1000

Why buy many thing when one thing will do?
You could buy at least 200 Snickers bars for the price of a 5090, dont tell me youre not tempted by this information. Youd even have some money left to cover the hospital after.
