Recently discovered and played a newer game called The Crimson Diamond. This is an old school adventure game designed in AGS with EGA visual style similar to Quest for Glory or older King's Quest games. The game uses also a parser text interface with an investigative/geological slant that's quite good. I'd strongly recommend to those interested in this sort of thing:

I was really curious of Death of the Reprobate and was surprised to learn it's a third entry in a trilogy. Just completed the first part aka Four Last Things. The game is very simple and short (took me about hour and a half), but man the artstyle is great and Monty Pythonesque humor was splendid. Gave me a lot of laugh in this relatively short playthrough. The main premise alone is fucking hilarious

Started Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars on NDS for the first time. Very good title, so far.

Also, another good adventure title is "Heroine's Quest".



This game is basically a love letter to the Quest for Glory series, originally known as "Hero's Quest" (thus the name). It was developed in Adventure Game Studio (AGS), which is an engine meant to emulate older Sierra and LucasArts style point and click games of the 1990s. The game is 100% free and you can download it from Steam. If you liked games like King's Quest or especially QfG in the past, I'd strongly recommend it. It has even more features built in, like elements and survival aspects that the older QfG titles never attempted.

Quite good game.

Partner bought this for me recently, and it's good fun. Some of the puzzles feel bullshit in the way older games feel bullshit, which whilst a tad frustrating at least reminded me of the classics, which is always a plus.
