I love the suikoden series and it's been years since I last replayed them. Yet I'm not sure if the current price is worth it or actually given we are getting two makes and inflation. That it's actually reasonably priced for two classics.

I'm on the fence on grabbing it or waiting for a discount. I 100% both of them back on the PS1 in my youth and I feel like I enjoyed them (It's been a long time) but can't remember if they were good enough after all these years for this price to revisit and feel buyers remorse.

They're massive games with tons of content, and the first time they've been re-released since the PS1 days, worth every penny baby

Pricier than I'm willing to jump on for 2 PS1 games. $20 each would begin to tempt me. I'll just wait a bit. I still have them both.

That's always been an option. Some people just want a simple way to experience the games on their preferred device (e.g. Switch).
Yeah I've owned both since the 90s and played them on a psp too. Last thing I want to be doing is playing them at a desk on my pc.

The games are like 30 years old. If you find the price of this re-release too expensive just wait a couple of extra months and pick them up on sale.
30 years or 30 years and 6 months to get a remaster doesn't really make that much of a difference.

Absolutely. Two of the best jrpgs ever made, remastered with new graphics and features for the first time since their release on PS1. Two stone cold classics like these are worth every penny. I cannot describe how happy I am that these games are finally released on current gen 😍

I wonder if you can still do the Matilda glitch

No issues with the price. The originals sell for hundreds of dollars each, used. They could charge the full $70 for it and I would not have a problem with that because there's no reasonable alternative.

Yes, assuming they're good remasters. The underlying games are revered for a reason. What kind of monster wouldn't support this because of the price?

It depends. If they're good remasters without any bullshit added, $50 seems like a fair price. Especially if you consider that it's a Konami product.

That's where I'm at, 2 lengthy JRPG classics with a bunch of quality of life updates seems like it's worth $50 to me if there's no issues.

Personally I think this should be $10 less on digital platforms at least.

That said, I am getting Switch physical copy.

Depends on if I really want to replay it or not.
The MvC collection was worth it for me because I wanted a way to play MvC2 on a modern console.

yes because I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is and support this series in hopes it makes a comeback

the more sales it has at launch & full price the more likely Konami is to pay attention, I've picked it up at full price on PSN as well as from Fanatical for my Steam Deck for that reason

Remake yes, remaster no. I'm surprised there's no a.i. that can automatically convert these older games and remake their graphics to look 2dhd.

I'm rarely happy about game price at release, but I'm patient. Konami used to have a good relationship with bundles and sales, so I'll wait a while for lower price.
