The first masked dude kill was underwhelming as fuck, i hope this was the throw away, low point and the others are better.

What happen before was pretty cool but then it become dumb af.

Also, the whistle+kill from bush combo is still op to clear small camps, very easy to abuse.

I honestly not founding the stealth that much different other than not having a bow and the prone stuff that i barely used, they should really have a communication system for enemies like in mgs5 so if too many miss, they enter an alert state but i was able to clear an emtire camp and only leave the boss for last and the dumbdumb was just there standing still alone when 10 min before he was surrounded by folks.

This ⬆️ is why I don't understand why publishers like Ubisoft have subscription services. Game subscription services only make sense if subscriber are in it for the long run, but when there's but when there's hardly any new fresh content to be found (like on Ubisoft+), people use it as a rental service and it's only costing them money.

I get the point but perhaps they're okay with it being a rental service for one title at a time. If you assume everyone who pays for a month long rental would have bought it, then it makes no sense. But maybe those people wouldn't have bought it at all and the people who were going to buy it, still mostly do.

Edit: apologies kruis kruis for quoting a week long post that was probably debated 17 pages ago..

🤔 where you getting the Xbox ratings from?

Currently it’s 201 reviews at 4.6 for normal edition and 215 reviews at 4.7 for the deluxe edition.
Xbox ratings are per country. For example some games here in Belgium have like 2 star rating (Fallout 3) because the game is forced in French for the whole of Belgium.
I'm sure that's not the rating overall, on the store

hu, AC Shadows on PS5 shares the DLC from Valhalla. Never seen something like this. Valhalla properties is the same, just inverted obviously.

You’re correct, I did not know that.

US rating is at 4.5/5 with 987 & 1.1k reviews. (For both versions)

I’m not gonna lie, I think Ubi actually cooked with this one. Night and day from Valhalla.
How different is the combat from Valhalla or Mirage?

I've been hoping for a return to a combat system like the original games. I thought Mirage was that, got it and just couldn't enjoy it... not sure why, might just be a "me" thing but... how close is it to the originals?

Haha, I see what you mean and what is that blue cat with wings lol... magical cat?
yeah you collect cats in the game and all of them hang out at the safe house doing some shenenigans.
One of them randomly is always flying with you and helps collect the loot!

They removed most of the 1-star review bombs. It was under a 2 when I posted that. Lost of white hood LARPERs posting 1-star reviews.

Just got the kurisagama, haven't tried it yet. I still think the balance is slightly off. From Odyssey onwards, the games have really sought to push you into combat and break stealth easier.

They are managing it slightly better in this game as the larger areas are gridded off. But it's very much like Origins onwards where you have to spec to be an assassin, and I really don't like it. They need to find a better balance between really critical and important skills you need and flamboyant abilities which are enhancements to the archetype.

Also fuck bow and arrows, how strong are they in this game? They are more powerful than fire in Odyssey.

Has anyone tried installing another AC game and seeing if it launches from the animus hub ok? But damn if this isn't a sexy looking game

Do you even like this game? 95% of your posts about this game are crying about other people saying things you don't like about it. Is this your Jason Schrier moment, where you think you are sticking it to the chuds? Holy fuck you're annoying and you're never going to change anyone's minds. Hell, the people who also like this game, like you supposedly do, are also annoyed by your constant crybaby shit. Go play your game dude, ffs.

Naoe is an assassin, so her abilities are meant to be that.

If you want straight combat, that's what Yasuke is for.

It's a bit funny cause he's doing exactly what those he's attempting to "own" do, and just as annoying for it.

No dualsense pc support sucks, there is not even ps buttons
there's full dualsense support, haptics, triggers and all that
if you're playing on steam, you have to disable steam input, since steam "thinks" you're better off using your gamepad as an xbox gamepad for all games
its 2025 and steam still ruins native dualsense support for unaware people

Tears of Nintendo
Made my way to Osaka, finished a few quests there and got killed probably too many times that I can count cuz I haven't had katana to match my level and enemies were insane, but then I got to the overgrtown temple.... fuck my life. So then I decided to start some story quests, get better gear and stuff. I just love the way they're doing quests, maybe not all of them are like that, but the one involving child kidnappings was great. You had to track down kids around the town, rescue them and kill kidnappers. I failed to rescue one kid in time, but the game accounted for that and I had a second chance to find where he is, which was great cuz I thought that I can't go back and fix it.

I haven't use scouts to make things easy which I think is the way to play and do your own field work. I haven't played Odyssey and Valhalla so maybe they had something similar, but the way they do quests in Shadows is extremely well done and you can choose what to say and fail cuz of the lack of knowledge or cuz you guessed wrong. Story related stuff is also great with great camera work and all that, love every second, as well as how multi-layered quests work and that you need to find clues, complete side objectives and only then get to the final part after piecing it all together.

Also, it looks like you have to find scrolls and rise your knowledge level to access higher tiers of skills and stuff, so it's almost sort of like in Sekiro. Idk how the hell have I missed that (they didn't explain it very well or maybe I missed the tutorial), but anyway, you need to increase your knowledge levels by praying at the shrines, finding scrolls and stuff and I think it's fine cuz it's a great way to encourage you to explore the world and find things, but some may not like it cuz unless you do that, skill points can't be spent beyond lvl 1 skills.

I can't tell enough how fuckin' amazing the game looks and I love what they did with wether effects and shit. The game legit has one of the best downpour and rain I ever seen, not to mention that it can build up by starting slowly and then gradually cool down with water slowly falling down from structures for a while. It's just insane how all this elevates the overall atmosphere and makes the world feel even more alive, cat and dogs shake to get rid of the water from the fur and these madman even made cat's eyes glow in the dark...

I fuckin' love this game man and I never felt like that playing AC since AC3 which also sort of rebooted the series and provided completely different experience from the Ezio trilogy, some may argue that Black Flag did it but no, maybe it was better, but AC3 was first to change a lot and provide much better cinematic experience. Anyway, that's enough from me, I need to get back to the game:messenger_relieved:
