For Persona fans, this might be déjà vu. A new website domain, p4re.jp, was just registered today (March 20, 2025), and it’s already fueling speculation that a Persona 4 Remake could be on the way.

This was spotted by Twitter (X) user ScrambledFaz, who pointed out that two years ago, a similar domain, p3re.jp, was registered. Three months later, Atlus officially announced Persona 3 Reload. Now, with p4re.jp popping up, fans are connecting the dots and wondering if history is about to repeat itself.

That said, P3R is competent but pretty pedestrian. And we already have the definitive version of P4 on all platforms, unlike P3 where we only had portable.

It would be a lot more work as well to get the Duology properly converted to modern games combat systems and graphics.

On the other hand, giving P4G a treatment similar to P3 Reload is a much easier endeavor. I really hope they don’t screw with the story and character dialogue to appease modern audiences though.

Edit: Where is god damn P6!? I really hope that this isn’t an indicator that we won’t see P6 for another 3-5 years.

I'm biased because P5 was my first Persona/SMT type game, and after that I went back and checked them all from Nocturne onwards, but P4 I like the least.

P4G was my first Persona game and I finished it on my Vita 12-13 years ago. Like Dragon Age Origins, I'm totally biased towards it. Slightly behind my GOAT DA: Origins by hair.

I'm fine with this. I forgot how awful these older Persona games looked. I already played Persona 3 and 4 on PS2 way back. A remake at least gives me a reason to play again. The Persona 3 remake looks great and I plan to play it eventually. I am actually currently playing Persona 5 Royal.

Kanji is already portrayed as someone not sure with his sexuality. It's still one of the better portrayal of a character struggling with it, especially amazing that it came from a JRPG of all places.
