I’ve played for an hour on the PS5 version. It looks nice enough and runs smoothly so far, so really happy about that. It controls very similar to the Divinity games on console, so it hasn’t taken long for me to get used to the control scheme.

There are a crazy amount of options for choosing a character. I’ve ended up going with a Druid Elf, so god only knows how that’ll turn out.

Love it already though and the intro was pretty epic.

HDR is broken on PS5 like on Star Wars earlier this year, same identical problem.
It looks great but too early to say anything else at this point.

There are a crazy amount of options for choosing a character. I’ve ended up going with a Druid Elf, so god only knows how that’ll turn out.

That was my first character, solid choice. Druid gets a fair chunk of unique dialogue considering there's a lot of druid content in the game and it's a crazy versatile class. Blow your spell slots then turn into an animal and rampage.

I find the broken HDR on PS5 makes the game unplayable. The blacks are crushed worse than literally any game I’ve played.

I've found a fix for HDR, in the PS5 HDR system calibration menu do not keep the black level at 0 but at a slightly higher value.
I've tried with a few clicks up and it works.

Had a brief audio bug on the final run for the transponder in opening level, PS5 menu had audio but game‘s audio was gone even when reloading. Then I turned my headphones off and back on and that did the trick.

Split screen on PS5 seems really seamless, just login to the second players PSN on the second controller and while in the character creator just hit X on the second controller and the other person hops into the party and get their own side of the screen.

Took a while for me to figure out so posting it here if someone else has trouble knowing how to do it

Yeah, this works, I experimented myself. Huge omission that this happened.

They did not change anything, with controller on PC it plays exactly the same as on PS5, camera is the same when fully zoomed in and you cannot look up freely.

Of course on PC I am using a mod for free lookup

There's a work around or turn HDR off for now.
I had same issue and fixed in 30 seconds

Yes it is broken, same issue Jedi had. Easy fix. Go to the system level, adjust HDR settings, on the third option, change it from 0 to 1. Problem solved.

LOL, seriously, I’ve played 5E before, and yet the room in the overgrown ruins with like four dudes was rough. Maybe I should have waited until I was level 3 before entering here, oh well. Still managed to beat it, with everyone at 5 HP or lower (Astarion was at 1, yikes).

The Goblin camp was like that until you start cooking them in groups using grease on all the fire sources.

I'm over here at like 50 hrs and I feel like I haven't even begun! Reminds me of Fort Joy. I haven't even made it to the goblin camp yet hahahah! I got to the blighted village, then got distracted by a quest to deliver a trunk to the thieves guild. After robbing their coffers, I found a random lift which I thought was going to be a little side basement area. NOPE! Took me to the underdark and three weeks later I'm still there. There's still an entire area of the underdark map I haven't even been to.

Omg I love it so much!!! Can't wait to see what acts 2 and 3 are like.

I've played 44 hours and i'm at the end of Act 2 with level 8 1/3.
I'm curious what makes people taking 60 hours in those 2 Acts.

I'm on 50h and just killed Nere (Underdark)
to be fair, my play time is probably much higher because I like to take a moment and re do some fights using different strategies and I bet the game does not count that
I explored every possible area and done every possible quest

I'm a little tiny bit further than that, and I'm the same: 50h. Also playing the same way. I enjoy the exploration and finding random stuff, secrets, looting every possible container as much as I do the combat and questing.

I think I hit something like 175h for dos2, so I imagine I'll be well over 200h for this one.

My ingame save shows 160 hours and I am not done yet. Steam shows 210. Lot of time spent in inventory and loading screens, due to my peeking into alternative futures and then going back (doing all kinds of shit out of curiosity and then reloading).
