Not too sure on this one.
Regardless of the great reviews, this would have been dead on arrival without being on Game Pass.
Everything they showed beforehand looked average at best with little to no hype for the actual game.

I'll 100% pick this up in a year or two at a 75% sale. Looks like a decent enough experience, but the backlog be beckoning with bangers upon bangers.
I had hopes that this game would lean a bit more into the clue/puzzle/archaeologist side of things. I played Fate of Atlantis for the first time a couple of years ago and IMO it's the best entry to capture that feeling, even if it's a bit archaic and 2 dimensional.

This one doesn't seem like it was a "timed exclusive" per se. Because the PS5 version was canceled midway during production, it seems like the PS5 version just needed more time to finish.
And because Avowed was delayed already, Xbox needed the Xbox version to be out for the Holiday season in 2024.

I suppose what I'm getting at is if MS promoted it as multi-plat in the lead up, then going "Get it now as part as Game Pass" would play better than the way they lead off with "here's this great new release on GamePass", and then go, "Oh you can buy it for $70 bucks on PS5 next week".

If the Pro can get a similar image quality to the PC with RTGI then it may be the first game to tempt me into buying a Pro, the lighting difference with full on RT is day and night on PC Vs Xbox either way I'm really looking forward to buying this
