Bloober Teases Work On New Konami Projects After Silent Hill 2

Found him boys. The one person on earth staying salty that SH2R is an absolutely incredible game.

It must suck to just be the only person hating on a game everyone else is celebrating and praising.
This is a silly comment considering nobody or very few people other than reviewers actually played the game before release. Let's actually wait and see what the fans say once they actually played the game.

As for reviewers, then we've seen to many times in modern age where they fail to mention many faults of big releases. Also, there are plenty ot reviews that criticise sertain aspects of the game, but still say it's a competent remake.

As for my comment, everything I mentioned there is a valid criticism, but if you think that criticising something you like is unacceptable then that's a you problem.

And btw, I've seen plenty of people on social media disliking aspects of this remake, so please open your eyes and stop seeing only what you wanna see.

The OG director of SH2 is on X now. Some insights from him. Is it too much to hope Tsuboyama will return to the series?

The English language tweets might come off as him feeling slightly negative about it, but in a Japanese tweet he is very positive about it, being "glad that it's a legitimate evolution of Silent Hill 2".

I would say work on remakes for a while and not a new project. Bloober seems good with technology and keepting true to an artistic vision, problem is when its internally they have to do it with a story, it ends up being just "ok".

Could also be that writing a new story today is a bit more difficult thanks to the checkbox system. Many of the old stories could probably not written like this any more thanks to „modern audiences“. If they remake an old game they don’t have this issue.

Wish they were good enough with the technology to have done something about the stuttering on all versions of the game tbh.

bloober if you are reading i’d be down with a direct sequel about adult laura going back that uses that cancelled “fear in daylight” setting that was going to be used for team silent’s silent hill 5.

TBH, I'd prefer Konami checking the player feedback after Silent Hill 2 to see if Bloober is worth collaborating with again. Not to mention that we're flooded with remakes already, with little to no brand new titles.
I think concious is generally very positive. Its crazy how many people turned around on it

While i used to agree with the remake thing, i also think that most of us here have probably seen gaming in its infancy and along with that, some amazing games, held back by early hardware (although i think this also created brilliant workarounds that shaped those games). We now have the tech to see those visions realised on much more capeable hardware and ive been finding it more interesting than annoying.

The annoying remakes for me now are of the games that came out 5 years ago and wont see any real changes. Just more grass and higher polygon shirt buttons.

Agreed, 100%.

Silent Hill 1 is the one that needs a remake treatment the most. Hopefully SH2 gets enough sales to push for more remakes.

Did you guys notice that Konami is ramping up their IP's again other that PES in the last, I don't know 1-1,5 years? Got tired of pachinko machines or is it really dawn on them that they have big IP's?

I'd like to see a new SH game from them - provided there is input from the original Team Silent members that worked with Bloober on the remake of 2.

I’d love to see PES come back

eFootball in incredible once you get onto the pitch, but the modes are a bit crap

Absolutely crazy that you take a series that can't seem to put out a good game and you pair it with a developer that can't seem to put out a good game and you get 10/10 scores.

Best case scenario that the world gets good Silent Hill entries and Bloober releases start being shit. I was pretty pessimistic about this but it's nice to have good news in this industry for a change.

Castlevania needs to come back.

You know what's crazy? I remember when Bloodborne came out, this moment in the game right here is when I realized I'm playing the best Castlevania we haven't gotten in years. But Bloodborne came out almost a decade ago. It's nuts that it's been so long since we've gotten a proper Castlevania game.

Silent Hill 3 is the easiest pick for Bloober and Konami, because the orignal SH3 was already built on the foundation of SH2. They reused Brookhaven, South Vale, a lot of assets, and all the mechanics.

Silent Hill 3 Remake can do the same, they just need to take what they did for the SH2 Remake, rebuild a story, few new levels, monsters, and characters, and that's it.
