Is 30 to much for VIT? I have 25 in STR. Dunno what else to raise lol.

Did you fight the secret boss in the DLC?Laurence.
I was told by a friend to not visituntil I killIosefka's Clinic, true?Rom spider bro
I just killed theso I don't know where to go after this...witch
Yes that's true.
You kill Amelia yet? If so then you need to head to the password door.
No I haven't. I went left there.
What is to the right if you're facing that door?.Where you come down to two houses and some hard dudes, opposite side which leads to witch
You can't access the majority of the right side until later in the game.
Thanks. Is the clinic before the spider btw?
I think I screwed up bad. I've been plowing to the game every night and I just accidentally beat it. Halfway through the fight I thought "this seems like it would be a final battle". It was and I did it on my first try, it was pretty easy to Parry.
My question is this, how fucked am I considering that I did not do the DLC? I would've thought there was some special area that would open up DLC, I should've known having played through dark souls 1 & 2 that of course it was going to be some silly item. I went through the game blind with no guides. I'm level 93. I've heard Old Hunters is waaaaaay hard on NG+
You have to wait until you've killed Amelia again unfortunately. Shouldn't take long on NG+ though.
From the start. Everything hits harder and takes more damage, but at the start of NG you had base stats with +0 weapon and now you have leveled up and have a +10 weapon.Question: When does NG+ get harder? I thought when I start my NG+ run everything is harder but so far(I just killed Vicar Amelia) its a piece of cake.
And I even get way more exp, but level ups get equally more expensive, so now I level even faster.
So, I've beaten(was the hardest boss I've beaten so far, about 15 attempts). Next up wasShadow of Yharnam. I've started theByrgenwerthfight, but died to its jumping/rolling attack. The boss seems to have a lot of health, I'm not really sure if I'm supposed to be at this point in the game yet (level 55, most weapons at +6)Rom
So far I've.defeated Cleric Beast, Father Gascoigne, Blood-Starved Beast, Vicar Amelia, Witch of Hemwick, Darkbeast Paarl and Shadow of Yharnam. I've gotten as far as the Rom fight in Byrgenwerth and the Amygdala fight in Nightmare Frontier. I've also gotten to Cainhurst Castle. I also have a Pthumeru Chalice in my inventory for (I assume) using at one of the gravestones in Hunter's Dream. I've also explored Yhar'gul and linked it back to Old Yharnam and also the Forbidden Woods and linked it back to Iosefka's Clinic (where I ended up killing Iosefka, was I supposed to do that?)
What's the next step? Thefight is really hard, as is theAmygdalaone. Am I missing something?Rom
is what you'll need to beat to advance. Did you find the Tonitrus inRom? That works really well against himyhargul

So, your progress route should be:
Go to Cathedral Ward andReturn to the hub, and load back into the Cathedral to get her to spawn in there.send Arianna there. If you go to the big plaza with the two giants, there should be a set of stairs to the side with some of those enemies in white with the big hats. She's in a house if you follow that path.
Or...
Ifis already at the Cathedral (she will be sat near the lantern, and is wearing red), then you're fine.Arianna
Then beat Rom.
I foughtPretty fucked if you go for the DLC ASAP in NG+. If you wait until you reach the final boss again then you shouldn't have too many problems.
Which final boss did you fight? If it wasthen you didn't fight the true final boss.Gherman
I fought. I sort of thought it would have been more epic and the ending was just 'meh'. I didn't realize it was over and dumping me right intoGherman.Iosefka clinic
I guess this time I should do a guide walkthrough to see all the story parts and this gives me a chance to try new weapons. I usedthe entire way through.Ludwig's Blade
Just out of curiosity how are are my stats?
35 Vit
30 End
36 Str
25 Skl
9 Blood
8 Arc
EDIT: Is there a good walkthrough that includes all the potential 'secret' stuff I missed? For instance on NG+ I justfound the little girl asking about her father and mother, she gave me the Music Box and told me about the Red Brooch. My jaw dropped when she said Red Brooch...I didn't find her in my first playthrough
Just beatandLiving Failuresback to back. Jesus there was so much frustrationMaria
woah I was looking for this game's OT and I am happy to see it's alive, I am absolutely new to this game and have never played a souls game... I expect lots of frustration.
played once for 15 minutes, the first werewolf kicked my ass then I went to sleep.
I think I'll be coming here very often... wish me luck,I'll need it,
I am a slow 39 year old unskilled gamer
so, any tips you can give to someone just starting?? like, what origin should I start with? the default one or is there a class that makes the initial experience more enjoyable to people who don't know how to play?
also, what weapons should I get from the messengers the first time they offer you items?

woah, best community ever.
I've tried going LTTP into official threads and I've never received this sort of responses and so quickly.
really appreciated, will come back as soon as I encounter my first WTF moment.
with the wolf I wasn't really trying, I just spammed attack with no strategy... of course that didn't go well haha.
Are you sure? I feel certain it doesn't matter, at least with the Saw Cleaver. You must have the weapon in its default form to be able to do the visceral strike.

Saw Cleaver is still one handed right?
With the axe, your two hand it when its tricked. You can't do V's in 2H mode.
Also what does the door to the clinic look like so I can avoid it?
Ahhh, I get it because it's a whip in transform mode.It may vary with the weapons, but with Threaded Cane it's got to be the default form for viscerals, eventhough it's one-handed.

The Lyrics to Hail the Nightmare are pretty interesting...
Now that's intriguing. Are the lyrics and translations for other songs available somewhere?
If they're in latin like this one they should. But which other ones had lyrics? I thought this one was unique in SoulsBourne for them.
Keep it up! I used the axe specifically for fight at BL4 and had an easier time than with the saw cleaver.I just started a BL4 run, its pretty fun! Until Shadows of Yharnam which makes me want to quit.
From the top of my head, Cleric Beast theme had lyrics.

Clinic right?Iosefka's
It's the area you first started the game in. There is a path in the Forbidden Woods that leads back to Central Yharnam that eventually takes you back in there beyond where they let you go if you were to just walk back to the room you started in. That's pretty much what you want to avoid until fightingRom
If you kill him prior to, um, "fighting" someone in Old Yharnam, you can befriend that characterShould I kill darkbeast p before rom?
