Herman's baby goes in the bin.
This has to be the worst failure from any of the big three in history?
The Virtual Boy was pretty bad, but I'm not sure if it's $400 million level bad.
Herman's baby goes in the bin.

Uh huh, that's not Hermen's job. I still don't get why everyone always forgets about Nishino.Hermen needs to go too. We need a CEO that values and respects their legacy. We need backwards compatibility. We need PlayStation exclusives. We need Only on PlayStation back.
No one in his right mind would burn even more money for this pile of garbage disguised as a game, not even Horizon fanboy number one aka Hermen HulstSo Concord isn't coming back as a f2p shooter, or will it be handed off to another studio?
Hulst is a piece of shit tbh.Herman's baby goes in the bin.
This has to be the worst failure from any of the big three in history?
Maybe not. You can buy M.A.G. for like $5 on eBay.On the plus side. Any gamer trying to flip their disc copy on eBay should be happy. No concord f2p. It’s 100% dead now. Value should go up!
Wasn't the argument that it was $400mill just for the development only?
I’m just quoting what that one dude from the studio said on Twitter.I disagree completely. The game has all the signs of having plenty of talented people working on it, it was just ruined by management not listening to the market or taking/allowing feedback and listening to the wrong influences. The art director and some of the artists should reevaluate themselves, but it's unfair to call the rest of the team talentless which seems to have done a decent, if not inspired, job.
Did you even read Colin’s $400M figure?
Apparently not. It didn’t include any of those items either, that was pure development cost and not including studio acquisition.
That would be Microsoft buying Activision for 70 billions. MS would be lucky to get half of it back if they resell it.Biggest failure in gaming history since the crash
Game wasn't fun either, I played the beta. It's somewhat a shame.
I heard that the game was pretty enjoyable to play. Its mostly the pandering and the character design that ruined it.
This studio could've been great if they made the game for the players instead of their own agendas.
Well, you know what they say.
Go woke go broke.
Wasn't the argument that it was $400mill just for the development only?
You may be right at the moment, but we'll see how the ABK acquisition goes.Biggest failure in gaming history since the crash
Sorry but fuck em, if they don't listen to the audience saying we don't want this woke shit and just still do it then they deserve to shut down they could've made a Soccom game or anything they chose that Herman Hulsts head should roll too he kept this turd cooking should've nipped it in the bud at the start 400 million lost ridiculous. As fun as the dunking is (please don't stop), I do feel for the people who are out of work and now have to figure out their next paycheck. That's an awful ordeal to go through.
Maybe a full reskin with cool designs? So Concord isn't coming back as a f2p shooter, or will it be handed off to another studio?
They will be fine, save your empathy for people in shit jobs who still can’t afford to live.I may not believe in a game or its politics, I still want people I disagree with to be able put food on their table.
I wish them well.
As I understand they threw Concord to the garbage bin, and the valuable staff that doesn't get fired will be moved to other SIE dev teams. So Concord isn't coming back as a f2p shooter, or will it be handed off to another studio?
Will this be the next victim of the Jim Ryan era and its expensive penchant for investing in games as a service?

He'll probably get a bonus out of this for trimming company expenses.
...and nothing was learnt apparently.

This is what happens when your studio is filled with toxic positivity and people are afraid to speak their true opinions.
bringing the joy
I'm with you on that one. They will be fine, save your empathy for people in shit jobs who still can’t afford to live.
