Deadpool & Wolverine Open Spoilers Thread

All of the multiverse stuff is to adapt the best comic event in the last TWENTY YEARS. It's Jonathan Hickman's masterpiece and they're currently in the middle of adapting Time Runs Out in the lead up.

Sentry is a big part of that and he's introduced in Thunerbolts in May, which ends Phase 4.

How was Sentry a big part of it?

I remember Hyperion and Thor going out like chads, but I don't remember Sentry being in it all. He definitely didn't make to Battleworld along with the survivors of 616. Unless I've forgotten about it.
Last I saw him (around that time) was as a horseman during Uncanny Avengers.

I swapped Sentry and Hyperion in my mind.

In the MCU version Sentry is taking Hyperion's place in the adaptation of Time Runs Out. Sentry is in Thunderbolts and his haircut is closer to Hickman's Hyperion than Sentry:

I feel like you could remove Thor and Hyperions story since it went basically nowhere. They had zero impact on Secret Wars. But I guess that was the point of Hickman's Avengers run...

It was a build up to the final chapter of his Fantastic Four.

Finally saw it.
I liked it a lot but I didn't find it as funny as the first two.

Great performance here:

No one shall be brought before our LORD David Bowie without the true and secret knowledge of the Photoshop. For in that time, so shall He appear.
Finally watched this now that it’s streaming. I liked it, but it was also very dumb. The action scenes were awesome, and there were a solid number of decent gags, so yeah.

Re-watched today after seeing it in cinema on arrival.

Fucking brilliant.
Nonsensical plot no doubt, McGuffin galore, but absolutely flawless chemistry, perfectly handled cameos, self awareness, 4th wall breaking, unmatched.

The climax is a showstopper.

Absolutely amazing! I loved it! It also had more heart in it than anything after Endgame. I knew it was going to be good based on the reviews and fan reactions, but didn't expect it to be that good.

Parody of actual AJUMP23
Everything in this movie is just about Jackman and the other guy. If they did not have charisma the movie doesn't work. The villain and all of that are pretty nonsensical. The 2 main characters are fun.

The fourth wall quips got old really fast and were far too many, the story was pure nonsense and was making everything look trivial because of the multiverse bullshit, the fact that the love of his life died in the previous one, he resurrected her and then they broke up for some nonsense reason was also extremely dumb and trivialized that relationship, the villain was just there in a couple of scenes to move the plot along and the only thing that kind of worked was the chemistry between the 2 main protagonists. Everything was so fucking superficial and mediocre, hell even the Deadpool character felt like a caricature of himself

I have no idea how people are still impressed by this manipulative and thoroughly forgettable Disney trash

It's not supposed to be serious, not taken seriously.

It's fine if you don't like that, but it's like complaining that football has a ball in it that is kicked around.

Movie was nonsensical and dumb. But it did it's job and I laughed at nearly every scene. I'm not sure why people even take these seriously. It's literally a comedy at this point.

Also can't believe blade said the ice skating line 🤣

This is such a bullshit excuse, if you want to make pure comedy like Airplane where the characters don't really matter and it's all about the laughs then you don't structure it like a capeshit movie with almost an hour of action with characters and plot that have become so paperthin you barely care for it

It's not my fault you watched a film that did exactly what was expected of it.

You're an adult. You could have worked that out before watching it and done something else instead.

You're right, my mistake for expecting just a semblance of proper characters and plot from Disney trash

Simps for Amouranth
I chuckled pretty much all the way through it, loved all the cameos and managed to avoid every spoiler before seeing it so they all hit for me, storywise not as good as 1+2 but definitely funnier, defo 7.5/10 for me, will watch again purely to pick up on the shit that i missed

saw this on the plane. It ain't bad but it's definitely the weakest of the three. The story is pretty stupid but at least most of the jokes and gags landed. Cameos are a double edge sword imo and I think there were too many as they took away the screentime from the main characters.

Two Canadian superheros saving the multiverse to Madonna.
I liked when Deadpool bounced his sword off the ground for the Will Smith joke:
Get my country's name out of your fuckin' mouth. And my sword. Give me that.

Cassandra Nova and Johnny ...LOL. Actress did a great job playing an omega mutant. Similar attitude to Wanda in MOM. This is me being reasonable.

To the more serious side, the use of Vanessa to show how depression can destroy relationships and how Wade took responsibility for that rather than lashing out at her.
