this story mission is fucking awesome, that is all.
The story is pretty basic and the lore is oddly deep in certain areas and then shallow in others. About 12 hours in, it's very inconsistent. I still think it's a better game than 2 or inquisition so do with that what you will.So how is the story is in this now that a little time has passed ?
Is the lore as in-depth and interesting as past entries ?
Yeah, I saw the custom settings, but those would artificially make the gameplay harder or easier, there's nothing that could really change the gameplay that much, at core it would be the same.I think there's a custom difficulty option that allows you to increase AI aggressiveness but maintain the normal health pool. Haven't tried this myself but I may do so soon. Combat is getting a bit too easy for me too.
I got a 'Heya' from Harding. My life will be complete once I get a 'no cap' from a pride demon.I don't want to play a fantasy RPG where the characters say "y'all".
Some of the characters speak like UCLA students.I don't want to play a fantasy RPG where the characters say "y'all".
Some snaps of my Veilguard.
Series X, performance mode.
I can't play female chars in rpg's. No idea how you guys do it.
Anyway might as well post my char as well, although it's an old screen and I've given him a bigger beard.
I'm using a mage so i do more ranged combat, does that also solve lock on for ranged?Turn this off
Thanks buddy.
Is it me or the hard lock on work like shit and lose its target every 5 sec?
I only had like 4-5 fights but the soft lock doesn't seems to actually lock the camera and doesn't make me circle around the enemy like a normal hard lock should do, but i was still trying to learn the basics during the chaos so maybe it flew over my head, i don't particularly like soft locks for ranged combat because it feels like the game decide what enemy to lock on if they are close to each other, i like to lock on only one enemy at time and circle around while i blast him.I'm a mage as well and never used hard lock because the camera is wobbly, the auto soft lock never failed me.

Thank god i invested on a super fresh case wjen i made my last build so temps are almost never a problem.I capped my CPU wattage to 120 watts in the intel extreme tuning utility and while it still goes above 120 watts to around 170 watts during the shader recompilation step, and in some loading screens, it mostly stays at 120 watts during gameplay. im still getting 60 fps so didnt lose much. had to turn off ray tracing because it was killing my framerate in the forest level with all the water even before the cap to 120 watts.
Now my temps are around 65-72 degrees, game is still a locked 60 fps, and my room doesnt feel like a sauna. i have noticed some minor stutters every now and then that i didnt before, but its ok. id rather not kill my cpu running it at 80 degrees for hours everyday.
I never have issues with temps. this game is bugged. Whats your CPU? Check your wattage and temps.Thank god i invested on a super fresh case wjen i made my last build so temps are almost never a problem.
But after your multiple posts i also keep the AC on when i play this stupid game just for precaution
I can almost run the thing at locked 120 frames with framegen and rtx on selective, kinda ok for how it looks (decent but hardly impressive).
I have a 13600k not overclocked.I never have issues with temps. this game is bugged. Whats your CPU? Check your wattage and temps.
Most AMD cpus were maxing out at 100% and running at 80-90 watts in this game according to steam forums.
Women are more attractive to look at and listen to? Better outfits. I have to be a dude all day in real life, so why do it in a game. I also don't want to play a game where I am a law clerk instead of a ninja or whatever.I can't play female chars in rpg's. No idea how you guys do it.
Turn this off

Imagine a game where you can choose to play as either a rock or a gummy bear.
You have a 3080 no? Did you get 60fps before with RT on at 4K?I capped my CPU wattage to 120 watts in the intel extreme tuning utility and while it still goes above 120 watts to around 170 watts during the shader recompilation step, and in some loading screens, it mostly stays at 120 watts during gameplay. im still getting 60 fps so didnt lose much. had to turn off ray tracing because it was killing my framerate in the forest level with all the water even before the cap to 120 watts.

Not in all areas. I saw drops and time a big body of water came on screen but those were gpu related. You have a 3080 no? Did you get 60fps before with RT on at 4K?
Few pics from my restarted playthrough (I'm trying to form a proper opinion because boy I hasn't been that conflicted about a game for a very long time)
That's how I played it at first, 4K DLSS Balanced with RT on, but I went down to Perf and RT off, because something felt off, even with FrameG on.Not in all areas. I saw drops and time a big body of water came on screen but those were gpu related.
Game ran fine at 4k dlss balanced in other areas with rt on.
definitely your CPU. i saw the same issues in starfield. Zen 2-4 CPUs are straight up trash in CPU heavy games especially compared to their intel counterparts which were power hungry and had bad temps but had enough power to run these games at high framerates. Im complaining about temps but apparently 80 is fine according to some steam users, and the fact that my cpu is able to consume 160 watts to get a solid 60 fps is kinda impressive. That's how I played it at first, 4K DLSS Balanced with RT on, but I went down to Perf and RT off, because something felt off, even with FrameG on.
But yeah, not everywhere, in the cities it ran well, but in forested areas, that's where the problems happened.
Maybe because of my CPU, I have a Ryzen 5600x and since this game is heavy on the CPU, I guess.
Yeah, but it's weird, as up until this game, never had a problem CPU wise and I see the 5600x all the time with all kinds of CPU related tests as being not that far behind some heavy weights, considering how dirt cheap is.definitely your CPU. i saw the same issues in starfield. Zen 2-4 CPUs are straight up trash in CPU heavy games especially compared to their intel counterparts which were power hungry and had bad temps but had enough power to run these games at high framerates.
Definitely not, in the beach levels there isn't such a difference as the forest ones, the best one up until this point and where it might be worth it, is in Antiva.I dont think im missing much with RT turned off. The regular SSR reflections are fine. the water doesnt look as good but thats ok. its rare and only in the forest and beach levels.
I got bored around 20 hours in. Felt like I made one decision that mattered and on hard the combat never challenges you. It’s just very rinse repeat without much thought.I'm well on the way to get the 1000G / 100% completion for this and enjoying my time with the game.
Really damn shame how one character and questline has sunk the entire game in the eyes of a big portion of the internet. Remove that and this is a fantastic title and a great fourth Dragon Age game. The plot is touching things all the way from the first game, there's very decent Inquisition plot and character representation as well.
Yes, this includes some dodgy dialogue as well, but which western RPG doesn't have its share of goofy dialogue.

Do you HAVE to keep that character in your party? And can you be an asshole to them without your entire party ending up hating you?I stopped right when I’m supposed to get that trans character and this whole time I thought it was a male but it’s apparently a female?
No clue. I’m sure you can avoid their side story, but none of the choices in the game ever let you be mean to anyone no matter the circumstance. It’s an illusion of dialogue choice.Do you HAVE to keep that character in your party? And can you be an asshole to them without your entire party ending up hating you?
I was playing it and just got back to the forest level after leaving the Lighthouse for the first time, so I haven't meant that poorly written character yet.
What issues are there with the Pro Version? Is the first patch out yet? Wonder if its gonna fix some issues with the Pro version, but i doubt. Gonna check out how distracting it actually is or its just a rare issue
What issues are there with the Pro Version?
Have you solved? I turned it off but the hard lock on is still dogshit terrible and lose the target every 3 sec.Damn thank you that was driving me nuts.
The strangest thing is people shitting on aloy being fat\ugly face but they all want to fuck this ugly monstruosityWhy does that chick's freckles look like someone sprayed diarrhea on her face? Man this game is just fucking wack
