The combat systems are too complex, or at least their input windows are too tight, everything seems to require "just frame" timing, which makes it feel completely unfair to fight against the AI/CPU because it has perfect timing almost all the time.
I mean right now you have block, super block, perception counter, sonic sway counter, super perception, revenge counter, super counter and vanish, but with the speed that the computer can be attacking you, it can be really confusing what to press and when exactly; the windows for these inputs are too tight and not explained properly either, add on top of that the computer input reading and having a perfect answer for any situation can make the overall difficulty feel completely unbalanced.
Honestly xenoverse 2 still feels much better in this aspect, it's not as beautiful or flashy as sparking zero, but the combat system feels like there's full player agency, instead of being bounced around not understanding what input you did incorrectly.
