One thing I've realized about most people is they literally cannot fathom that someone can be more intelligent, work harder, or simply sleep less than them. It's the only explanation for how some people are so mentally retarded they don't believe a man can have the time and intelligence needed to land rockets upright, run the world's only successful electric car company, shitpost on Twitter, and play Diablo IV all in the same human lifespan as them without inventing some headcanon where it didn't happen

These are not even nearly comparable, though, and calling it having been "developed" is exceedingly generous too.

Blastar is what any nerd of that era with a C64/Speccy/whatever cobbled together by reading the computer's manual and typing down the BASIC code examples within.

It's worse than that. The 13 min time is for Pit tier 108. That puts it in last place compared to all the other classes because the other classes have higher tier clears. Each Pit tier level scales up monster health and damage multiplicatively. The difference between Pit tier 150 and Pit tier 108 is light years apart.

First of all he's using spiritborn which is extremely OP. Pit 100 is like the floor for that class whereas all the other classes 100 is the end goal. Also he can buy whatever amount of gold he needs to buy whatever 4GA items he needs for his build.

And before anyone wants to try and criticize him and say the only reason he ranks that high is because he "bought" his gear, everyone that has a high leaderboard ranking also "bought" their gear.

All you are saying is, you saw him play online....he confirmed what his user name is, that is it. That isn't hundreds of hours or confirmation of anything tbh. He probably has someone looking for and trade for his BIS gear but thats it. I have no doubt he plays on his account. Its not like someone got all his gear from him and then he started doing Pit 150 runs. He still had to learn how to use his character and figure out which build he likes.

Diablo 4 has a lot of mechanics and interactions that are not outwardly apparent to the player and with SB being a new class I can totally see him spending time trying to understand how all of it works.

It's not about the minutes, it's about the tier... notice spiritborn is at tier 150! Pit is exponential so yeah. Only the megabusted-all-bugs-exploited build can run pits that high tho.

Note that items in D4 can be traded between players, so there's a healthy market.

I've actually been using gaming for this recently

The problem in todays world is that you can succumb to addictive passive consumption habits with smartphones and social media so easily that it can almost make you vegetable-like. In that context playing through games(especially on harder difficulties) is actually preferable from a cognitive standpoint imo.
