Well, with a description of "For the serious fighting game enthusiast!" it doesn't sound like a game, and there aren't very many peripherals associated with fighting games.

That would only leave the fighting edge and versus sticks. I can't see the former being on sale on Amazon when they barely have any and it just came out. The versus stick, I can only see Mad Catz having a sale on those. VLX is out of stock/print.

The mid range sticks are all on sale already so they are out.

In regards to the idea that players who enter SBO quals with no intention of going adding to the pot: if they were truly doing it to be charitable, then they'd just throw in the $20, or whatever the entrance fee is, without playing and knocking out someone who has their heart set on going. That would be an actual donation (that word the the fgc loves to throw around). There's nothing altruistic about playing to fuck up other people's chances for lulz.

No you are right but without them TOS couldnt afford to run SBO qualifiers. So you need them anyways.

No, you're supposed to hold the dead character's assist button as the opponent begins to do a super and then do a snapback with the OTHER assist button.

With a dead character, hold the tag button for the dead character during an opponents super flash, then snapback on the tail end of it. Viola.

I'd love to see a "low tier meltdown" 5v5 where each of the players is assigned a team of 3 (assists variable) by the other team, with no overlapping characters. Sort of a fun goofy test of roster knowledge.

I agree, but Vergil is a far more boring "villain" type than Dark Phoenix was in Vanilla's metagame last year. Actually, all the contenders for villain are either too underplayed at a decent level (Morrigan) or so run of the mill it would just look like your average local/major (Zero/Vergil).

So Justin would be team Marvel with Wolverine/Storm/Akuma and Yipes would be Capcom with Dante/Vergil/Magneto.

There are very few players with full on side specific teams. Viscant runs an all team Capcom with Wesker/Vergil/Strider but it's a B team.
