8wayrun: From Software is NOT good... they managed to get LUCKY with the Dark/Demon Souls games

i dont even
Jaxel on repeated occasions: Dark Souls isn't hard, it just has really, really strict rules.

*later*

So and so game/mode is hard because one touch and your DEAD. That's what you call hard.

...

I'm sorry anyone who thinks Oot is not great opinions seriously. Although I do like SS a alot more then it. I never could keep my interest in MM though(I don't think it's trash it just could never stick with it)

Still rolling with a Hori EX-SE.

Awesome deal though.

He is kind of right. From did well with King's Field, Lost Kingdoms and DSs but they also have stuff like Ninja Blade (which I did like but isn't particularly good) and some other forgettable titles.

Naw he's full of it. From also did the Otogi games which were awesome.
Armored Core series which is also good.
Another Century Episode.
And some great one-offs like the Echo Night games and Kuon.

i still feel MM was the epitome of the entire series. i was barely in high school when i played it, but i could still appreciate all the intricate storylines and mature themes underlying. (SHOULD HAVE TAKEN NOTES FF12!)

eternal ring, evergrace (funny story, i bought evergrace 4 times by mistake because i would see it in bargain bins at $5, forget i had a copy. and rebuy it months later down the line)

im going to start saving uo $10 everyweek to finally buy a stick. no more raffles for me.

but i am so scared cause i dont know what counts as a "high quality stick" or "mid level stick" and then i hear about swapping out for SANWA parts and i start getting the "building a pc for first time" jitters...

3D dot game Heroes is gdlk. I like it more than a majority of Zelda games I've played.

So From is in my good graces.

Chromehounds was the game that made me love FROM software, then i looked at their history of games and never realized they made so many series i enjyoed before (tenchu, evergrace etc...)

Save up for a $100 MadCatz TE/Pro stick deal, or get one of these MadCatz Brawl sticks if you don't want to spend that much:

Simple.

If a stick was recenly made and was priced at 150ish and above they are top tier stick quality. At least from madcatz. Hori it is a bit different. The v3 and ex stuff are good but things like the SCV is a real step up and then VLX and Fighting edge are in god tiers.

Just buy a TE. Any model works to be honest there's little difference here and there but none of them are bad.

The hell CC Live give away Xbox for youtube comments?

Alright guys, I'm hoping for some help. Street Fighter IV in concept seems totally awesome to me. I love the idea and I'm completely interested in trying to get into it. But I just can't get it down. Whenever I try to pull off combos my timing just feels off or something because I can never get them off right.

I was hoping someone had some tips for a beginner to get into SSFIV:AE because I'm just clueless.

I'm playing on PC with a 360 pad.

You should really ask stuff like this in the Street fighter thread.

You are probably doing the combos too fast and not linking your moves. Check youtube videos for the timing and make sure you are matching it. Who are you trying to play as?

It really just comes down to time. Practice your combos, learn your normals, learn your specials. Then start playing. As for pad or stick just stick with whatever is comfortable. Just because you switch to a stick doesn't mean you start hitting your combos.
