Lots of these revolve around making excuses for a lack of spending.

Which is odd considering that you've bought Mata and Fellaini in the last year at a cost of £37m and £27.5m respectively. If anything, embarrassment will come from targeting unavailable players (and other antics), like last summer.

It's not the amount they're spending, it's that they have a coach who can't extract that value of talent from a footballer.

Coaches directly affect a player's value.

Anybody seen the Hannibal show in the US? I avoided it because I love the films too much and didnt have high hopes for a television update, but im hearing ok things. Recommended?

It's better than the movies and I was someone who thought the tv show was a terrible idea. If they maintain during the whole season the same quality they showed on opener of the second season, this will become the best thing on tv right now.

Wait you thought it was terrible then good? Should I skip season 1? I get burned out by bad tv really easily.

I love how the media are duty-bound to go on about how they wish Pardew had not tried to push Meyler away with his head, when it's blatantly obvious that everyone in the world aside from Pardew and probably Mike Ashley thinks it's funny as fuck

Highest recommendation I can give if you like the character, any of the five movies or have read Red Dragon.

It's violent as shit but shot in a way that you a appreciate the cinematic presentation of it all.

It's one of the best TV shows around, full stop. I rate it and True Detective as the best things on right now. It is that good and one of the most superbly shot and classy shows you will ever see. Fantastic acting too.

More seriously you could look at some foundation courses at your nearest Uni too. Covers some useful ground and can be a stepping stone to other degrees.

Just read the news about Wilshere. Suffice to say, I've no sympathy for him. Players getting sidelined for long-periods in friendlies at important moments in the season is common place.

Why clubs permit their players to take part is beyond me; it is insane

I was going to ask if it was more like Dexter or the films, hopefully the latter, I actually have not seen the end of the last series of Dexter because I was so disgusted by the first half of the season.

Hard to compare the show with those because it's very different and unique. Hard to explain without you seeing for yourself. Dexter is dog tier TV (from S5 onwards), so best not to bring that up. :p

How much are West Ham paying for the stadium? Just seen that they're playing 5 games there for the Rugby World Cup, so I imagine the RFU are subsidising a lot of it, and from there its surely a simple move from rugby stadium to football stadium.

I wouldn't say terrible, but it starts really slow and picks up later on. The last few episodes are God-tier (+ S2) and worth the wait :p

the acting is way too good, I can watch Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen mind-fuck each other for hours :lol

and I actually liked Mikkelsen's interpretation of Hannibal's character more than Anthony Hopkins'. He's just as sinister and manipulative but it's hard to get a read on him on the show. It's quite frightening
