I honestly can't fathom how people can love that game so much already, thought the beta was nothing special... But I guess it will be interesting to see how it does with it being xbox and pc exclusive and all. I'm all for a game like that focusing on multiplayer, maybe if it was successful EA would finally realize Battlefield doesn't need some shitty campaign to be successfull either, but just an actual working multiplayer mode.
Yeah don't think there's that much to it. Especially with Hennig leaving that seems like way more of a personal thing, and 50 people getting laid off sucks for them... But man, if that doesnt happen pretty much weekly.
Hopefully they will find someone better than Jack Tretton. Always thought he didn't fit with the rest of big names at Sony/Playstation.

Just finished the first episode of Hannibal, not really feeling it at the moment, very unfocused, weird jumps to and from places and actions, granted it was the pilot so it will likely settle down. Must admit im not to bothered about watching another right now, ill give it another go tomorrow.
The beginning starts off a bit slow as it establishes everyone but once you get through a couple more episodes, shit hits the fan in a pretty fantastic way. Definitely stick with it. First episode or two are bit ehhhhhh.

I didn't like Hannibal that much either, although for very different reasons. I've watched up to the penultimate episode of the first season. It's the hallucinations and crime reconstructions that stuff put me off. I won't argue that it's not visually interesting, it just seems a bit silly.
I honestly hated it at first. I couldn't get into the first episodes (or more than half of the season)
Skip to the last three/few episodes, you will change your mind.
Yeah it didn't really 'click' until episode 4 or 5 for me. It's immense though, stick with it.
First episode of S2 is already one of the best episodes of the entire show so far. It was the perfect way to kick off a new season. The following ones are only going to get better and better given the primary plot element of this season.

Remember, this is Roy Hodgson you're referring to.
A manager who has been known to "test the resolve" of players returning from injury. It's difficult to come to any conclusions without knowing what went on, but Hodgson doesn't strike me as the type who would take the precautionary option (in that regard).
And of course it's important to maintain a good relationship with clubs when you're managing a national team. Don't be so daft.

Testing the resolve of a player returning from injury is different to a player getting a knock in a game though.
Ultimately with an injury its down to whether the player thinks he can carry on or not. From what I saw, Wilshere thought he could carry on. So why is that Hodgson's fault for letting him? Hodgson doesn't have x-ray eyes that can see he has a broken foot.
So whilst the residue of the international break is still somewhat looming in the air I thought I'd mention a thing I'd like to do for the World Cup thread this year:
As lots of GAFers tune in to watch teams or even a sport they normally don't I wanted to make some relatively small guides for each nation. Fluffy stuff such as this (these are just examples):
- Their history.
- How they qualified.
- Style of football/Tactical formation they play.
- Potential starting XI.
- Players to watch out for.
Instead of me writing all of these up I thought I'd garner interest on whether I could collect 32 members to contribute to make these instead. As an added twist I'd like the guides to be from people who aren't natives of that country (eg. I could write the guide for South Korea but not England) so that their opinion is formed as a neutral outsider looking in - just as all the GAF members will be when it's posted in the thread.
You wouldn't have to physically do any writing until the middle/end of May when the squads will be announced. I'm just collecting names and gathering interest now. I'll sort out a selection procedure later for each nation (it'll likely be purely random - names plucked from a hat).
So if you're interested say so now. I'll bring it up again couple of times between now and May for anyone else who wants to get involved but missed this message.
