I'm now $10k in debt and I just fried my GPU trying to do some kind of "overvolting" "underclocking" something or another.

Last PC game I played was Black & White 2. "Works best with AMD" it said on the box.

I kept having horrible pink textures flashing all over.
I had a good Radeon card and looked up some troubleshooting.
Revert drivers. Revert back to what I had. I stopped when it suggested messing about in BIOS. I'm no Dr. Frankenstein.

I could add some RAM or change video cards but that was it.
Fuck you Black & White 2 and hello lazy plug n' play consoles since then.

I'm a PC Gamer and I agree. Back in 2020 I bought the the highly sought after RTX 3080 and built a monster of a PC. I was swinging big dick, crushing it with Cyberpunk 2077. 4 years later the 3080 ain't shit, and if I want the next best thing I'm gonna have to bend over and spread my cheeks to Nvidia to deliver me a $2000 ass fucking to get their new graphics card.

You're always going to be chasing the dragon when you're a PC Gamer, and it rapes your fucking wallet.

Idk about a scam, but it's definitely overrated. You're paying a significant amount and your hardware is pretty much outdated as soon as it arrives.

With diminishing returns the difference between consoles and PCs isn't worth the hassles that go along with it.

I have PC gaming a good two years before realizing it simply wasn't for me.
