Excitebike: I've played a ton of blockbusters on all console, my DS got some loving, and I fell in love with the PSP this year thanks to Project Diva, but no other game that has come out this year has been able to keep me entertained the way this new Excitebike does. It is very pick-up-and-play friendly, addicting, and most importantly, fun. It has a ton of unlockables, an fucking awesome soundtrack, and it is a great example of a game that totally legitimizes the existence of download games. We need more games like this, games worth playing. Whenever I pick up my controller to play this game, the can slogan comes up in my mind: Truly "Born To Play". The industry as a whole would benefit from more games like this one. What a treasure, and an instant classic to be loved by all for now, and forever. Game of the motherfucking year, easily. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this one, it's jut that good people, it's that freaking good. They don't make games like this anymore, so cherish it people!
Outrun: It is the definitive driving game, but now it's been juiced up for the 360 with crisp visuals. What is not to love? 360 GOTY indeed, and most played on the system this year personally.
Miku: Her sweet voice, which I have on various albums already, became only sweeter when I had part in this amazing music/rhythm game. It is everything a Miku fan could ask for, and a whole lot more! It's also a system seller, hell, why do you think I got a PSP in the first place? :3 Handheld game of the year, easily.
Zelda: This one took me completely by surprise. It fixes all the problems with the previous DS outing and has trains! What is not to love? As for MIC problems, I hadn't had any issues.
Mario: Night and day compared to the DS outing. Fixes everything, and feels fresh. As some would say, it's what SMW should have been.
