Going to upgrade my PC, and jump into the game development and streaming pool after just dipping my toes in a lot over the last couple years

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
For the last 10 years or so, my resolution has been to finish at least 52 games.

Now that I have a portal I want to utilize my premium subscription more.

Take chunks out of my Switch backlog.

Now that I've started playing GT7 and seen how fragile their community is on reddit, I want to go online and ram KO people off the track and bring my Friday the 13th skills to good use.

Less buying, more playing. Too often I purchase a game and it sits in the backlog before appearing on PS+ or some other discount service.

As well, 90% of my games this next year will be backlog only. Only planned exceptions are as follows:

Death Stranding OTB
Doom: The Dark Ages
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Metal Gear Solid Delta

Lunar Remastered and Suikoden Collection may also get exceptions but I'm torn on waiting until there is a sale and allowing them to drop in price.

Ive spent way too much buying dlcs/premium edition for games i own, but never intended on playing this year.

1. Will spend less than 1500€ on steam
2. Will match, but not surpass whatever that amount ends up being in gacha pulls
3. Will stop confusing controller buttons
4. Will not buy games that launch on gamepass

To start Final Fantasy VII Remake for the fifth time and once again give up before the 10 hour mark.

Real answer:
1. Get a Switch 2 at launch
2. Focus more on games that require skill and mastery rather than leveling/grinding/loot to win
3. Beat Doom 2016
4. Beat Elden Ring
5. Keep on racking up all the rare incel victories

I'm going to start buying secondhand games instead of rewarding lazy developer's and buy brand new games from developer's that care and go the extra mile for there customers.

Spend less, buy less and play more. I'll also sell any game that I don't like instead of it just sitting on the shelf taking up space. Tired of all the clutter. It's time to downsize the collection and make it manageable.

Just Buy 2 new games all the year , reduce backlog from PS2 and PS4 games.

Pretty sure the " don't Buy new games reduce backlog" new year resolution for gamers equals to the " going to gym on january, eat healthier". We know how the story ends...

I do want to play more this next year. My kids are all a year older, so maybe it’s time they fend for themselves (15, 6 and 3).

- Stop myself from buying a Switch 2 if the launch library isn't worth it.
- Replay MGS 1-5
- Don't buy any PC games I won't immediately play.

Fuck no I'm not playing this, I already broke my 2023 promises in the first few days of this year (by buying new games instead of finishing the old ones).

To stop playing a game the moment I feel like I’m just going through the motions. My time is too precious to be wasted these days.
And with that said, I’m putting down Soul Reaver. The mechanics are just not there for me. I’ll let the game stay great in my past, instead of “meh” in 2024.

Maybe start Elden Ring. I stink at those games. May just go mage or something.

Buy Switch 2 day 1 depending on offerings. Enhanced BC is def day 1. If not will depend on 1st parties.
