DX12 allows you to run AMD and NVIDIA cards together if implemented, I want to see that in Gears 4, don't think a high profile game has implemented that yet.
Will be disabled by drivers from each vendor. Probably won't ever happen.

Only if the developer lets you.
Ultra Wide 60fps at 4K? Man I need a new monitor to go with my GTX 1070 in sSeptember
and probably insane computer requirements like all their windows store games,
LolYou can mod UWP who says you can't?
Wrong.
Did they fix the refresh rate issue in KI?
Post source please. AFAIK, stuff like Long War which require hex editing DLLs and executables are not possible with UWA.
Memory and file edits are possible, yes. DLL injection not quite yet, but what you said was in reference to "you can mod UWP" which implies any modification in general.
Does this have crossplay? Because keyboard + mouse means console players are screwed.
Unauthorized mods in this case, being DLL injections and hex edits. Is there actual proof of this working? I haven't seen anything about this.
You defining an unauthorized mod as dll injections and hex edits is arbitrary. A model swap is unauthorized. An authorized mod is putting hooks in your game easing the mod-ability of said game.

take notes, Overwatch.

You're right, it is. What I'm getting at is does it current moddability at all reflect Win32's current moddability? It doesn't.
Probably should've just started with that lol, my bad.
And again, I want to see successfully memory and file edits please.

Look at all the COD games, none of the recent ones have mod tools but people will go and bitch about fucking Gears not being moddable and use Microsoft as a scapegoat because if it's not Steam then fuck it it's shit I'm not buying it. What the fuck.
Some file edits of Forza 6 (editing car LOD settings, rain density, and the credits files) are visible in this thread here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1243771&highlight=
I think I was one of the few people who managed to get into the files which is why you might not have heard much about it. It's a total pain to access but works for some.
Erm, this has already been out for months... It's a bit late for vendors to flip a switch if they wanted to. I don't really see why they would though.
Actually someone did managed to make injection work on uwps too. But it requires giving system access to the injector application/dll which is not something you'd want to do for just about any game.Thank you for actually providing proof lol.
So that leaves live memory editing and injection.
Echoing what Durante has brought up in every thread, however, I don't think we'll see any improvements in regards to injection ever. Microsoft has already locked that down in the name of "security" and that'll probably be the biggest blow for a lot of games. Reshade, ENB, and anything else that relies on DLL injection will disappear.
I'd be very surprised if MS opened this back up as it would allow cheating, which I believe is one of the benefits of UWA at the moment. Live memory editing would also be used by cheats, so I don't know if that's disabled as well.
Yes, it's already out but it certainly isn't common by any stretch of the imagination. It would be surprising if NVIDIA, who is known for locking down this kind of stuff, doesn't bother with disabling this sort of thing when it detects another AMD GPU installed.

But are these restrictions enough for people to outright not buy a game? Aside from cheating what could you possibly gain from memory editing that anybody would care about in this game? That's not the modding people are talking about. UWP restrictions are fairly well known and discussed at this point.
like 99% of games on consoles and pcSoo they are saying whats the point of getting it on xbox then?

Well, on one hand that would be a pain in the ass for online play like is sometimes the case on certain titles, on the other hand, it would mean someone was able to do non-file related modding on a UWP, which would make some pc folks happy.
Modding in UWP?![]()
Push this one to its limits, pc-GAF.
Some of these features. Amazing. You have sure convinced me of your support for pc gaming, microsoft.-Dynamic resolution support (any resolution will be supported with a sensible dynamic field of view - including ultra-wide).
-Increased texture resolution (up to 4K resolution for select texture groups).
-A benchmark mode.
-Full keyboard/mouse input remapping (including cover/run and roll split).
-Far more comprehensive video settings.
But that guy on that forum somewhere editing something somehow, that means theres mod support.Modding in UWP?![]()

Thanks I'm a scrub in terms of PC stuff so I need all the help I can getDifferent engine though, and the one which is actually designed to work on modern hardware.
On lower settings? I don't see what might prevent it. I do wonder though if they'll keep UE4's D3D11 renderer in (apparent) addition of a D3D12 one - 680 have a lot of chances to perform better in D3D11.
