Gettin' Real Tired of Your Shit Namco Bandai (Tales of Xillia DLC)

This is hella dumb. How does the $100 version of your game not include the free DLC? Who makes that decision? And even if the costumes end up on PSN down the line, they'll probably be overpriced just like they were in Graces F.

YES. FUCK YOU NAMCO!

It will NOT be released on PSN. JP first press DLC was never put up for sale. Same with Xillia 2.

Yes, someone that gets it! Why is the EU CE getting DLC, and the NA CE isn't? I want answers, cause if the NA CE isn't get the DLC, I'm going to switch to the LE. Also sounds like the music CD is better in the LE as well, lol.

They don't get called Scamco for nothing.

I was too optimistic lol. I can't see why Bandai Namco could screw up this hard.
I missed out on the DLC costumes on Japanese PSN, so I'll be sure to get the LE if this is the case.

...that makes no sense whatsoever. The collector's edition should have everything the limited edition has, plus more. That's how EVERYONE does their collector's edition. Having the limited edtion and the collector's editon have different content is stupid.

And they never released the Haseo or iM@S costumes.

That's understandable due to licensing (even though Namco owns IM@S and .hack). This isn't. How hard is it to add two download codes to the collector's editon. I hope they fix this mixup before release or clarify if the Collector's edition includes the Limited edition with it.

Doubt it will do anything, you can't buy the Graces F preorder costumes on PSN to this day.
Doesn't mean I won't try -- please help

I know. I'm just bitter because I wanted to put Milla next to my Alter Milla figure. I won't be buying this localized version if they're gonna pull this crap though.

Hopefully the DLC will be on PSN eventually. I'm getting the collectors edition and it sucks we could miss out on the costumes despite pumping out $30 extra. :\

If you read the other posts in this thread, you'll see that it won't be. The Japanese version apparently had the same issue.

When is all of this being released?

Are there even any other costume dlc's for this game that are likely to be localized? I only know of the Geass and Im@s ones which I'm sure won't come over.

Waiting to hear a little more confirmation from Namco but I'm very close to switching to the LE

Agreed. If it's a first print edition, then it seems that it would be included with the CE since it's in with the box of the game/part of the packaging.

August 6th.

Holy shit! They better sell Xillia during Japanexpo or they'll probably lose a sale, it's getting too complicated at this point!

Wow that really sucks. It's a shameless ploy to try to get people to buy both. They KNOW some people will buy both. It just sucks for the rest of us who plan on getting only one version. There's no way I'm double dipping. CE for me it is.

For Xillia?

We probably won't get the Star Driver costumes even though Namco Bandai probably still has the anime license.

And of course Im@s cause we never get the nice stuff.

Yeah we won't get those. There is other DLC costumes we will probably get, but they won't be cheap. $3 for a costume is a bit much, no?

The only costumes that ever mattered in tales games are the swimsuits.

Are there any in this game, dlc or ingame?

DLC.

That's pretty awful. Scamco at it's finest. Kinda makes me regret pre-ordering the collectors edition but I want that statue!

Can we get a clarification from NB about whether all of the art in the $60 edition's artbook is also contained in the $100 edition's artbook?

Hm, I thought about this a bit yesterday, and I'll probably cancel my CE order if this doesn't change. I just put in a preorder for the LE, so I'll wait about a month before cancelling the CE. If a lot of people do the same, there could be a lot of CEs just sitting on the shelves lol.

Ah Ah this is gold.

Despite the high sales it was much much easier to get those 2 costumes ( that are genuilly good by the way ) in the japanese version. You just had to preorder !

The NA&EU way is stupid and confusing for no good reason...
And you don't have the xillia theme that comes with the dlc either it seems.

This is the best way for Namco Bandai to make money from the hardcore Tales fans. Having them double dip when buying the game just so they can get the costumes. :/

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't care. It's DLC costumes. Other than making Milla and Jude look a bit different, it adds little to the experience.

It's not a big loss. Honestly, this is why the Tales of fan base has a bad reputation. Can't we just be happy we are getting both a limited and collectors edition in the first place?

To hell with double-dipping!

If Namco Bandia doesn't include the DLC in the Collector's Edition, I'll cancel my pre-order and get the Limited Edition instead. Less money = Less profit.

I already have Alter's Milla, so I really don't need another figure. The 100-page artwork will pale in comparison to the full-fledged release. The "Special Selection" CD will likely be a sampler with five or-so tracks.

It really is baffling. You would think the more expensive version would be entitled to all of the former bonuses + extra, not the other way around. The fact that the LE supposedly contains DLC [that won't be available for purchase afterwards, I'm pretty confident of this] that the CE doesn't is just...confusing.

The page numbers are different.

The Limited Edition one is 50 pages or so and called a Character's Profile one.

The Collector Edition one is 100 pages and contains art from the developers.

Yes, besides the page count, this really does mean nothing, but you'll probably get more art in the Collector Edition.

Pay more to get less, to be expected this gen. How many costumes are in the base game per character? I remember Abyss having a decent number for each character yet by the time I hit Graces it'd already dwindled to a laughable number of alt.costumes without paid DLC (and they were all pretty bad to boot).

There are exactly 4 alternative costumes in this game.

1 for Jude, 2 for Milla and 1 for Alvin.

The Day-1 edition artbook is called "character profile booklet" and is 52 pages. The CE artbook is called "artbook" and is 100 pages.

So obviously not the same and also almost impossible that they would still show all the art of the CE artbook in the Day-1 booklet.

EDIT: beaten

Not to mention that the DLC costumes were like $5 each or so...pretty ridiculous!

So is there actually some decent outrage at this, or is Namco going to slither away from this one without a word?
