Thinking the same thing. 4 seems like it has the best use of color out of any of them so far.
It's very saturated, it's more orange and vibrant. Reach's is more brown, grey, and drab.
All I see is brown and more brown which = plain and rather drab.
opinions are opinions though...
And blue and green and orange and red. I prefer how the grass is lush rather than muddy, I prefer how the rock is vibrant rather than muted. I prefer the Halo ring being crisp than being faded, I prefer starry skies to rainy ones, I prefer the planatery backdrop than the lack of one at all. Everything about Blood Gulch looked better than Haemorrhage, I just wouldn't understand how anyone can consider the latter appealing.
343i have an incredible engine, so why not give it wings?
They both look terrible compared to those gifs.
Look at the 2 gifs i posted.
Looks damn good to me.
Well when you only made mention of liking brown, I'm going to comment on their colourspace. I'd rather it be brown if that translates to Blood Gulch, rather than a bunch of muted colours among puke green grass. The top was more of a desert while the bottom was more of a mountain pine tree like location.....

In the SP, without a doubt.
MP however?
No firefight makes me sad. I was hoping for a firefight/forge combo where you could make your own firefight maps. New forge additions are awesome though.
As it turns out, Certain Affinity worked on the new Forge. The ex-Bungie guys... And its (to me) the weakest part of what they showed of H4 so far. How ironic.

I agree with the notion that Forge seems like the weakest part so far, but only under the basis of it not being much of an improvement. I don't develop games, and personally have no idea how difficult it is to orchestrate something like a level editor when you have a million other things coming together for a game of this scale. Although with that being said, here's some realistic thoughts I have about it:
In my opinion, the thing holding back any major advancement in Forge creation is the Xbox 360 hardware itself. I love the system, but everyone here knows it's far outdated. It's amazing what is coming out now on such archaic systems. I'm sure 343i wants the game to perform smoothly in regards to framerate and loading speeds. I highly doubt that allowing players to alter terrain, and drastically change textures or even have weather effects would be feasible without a highly negative performance drop. I'll be holding out for those major advancements in forge capabilities for Halo 5 on the next hardware.
