From what I heard (and I try to avoid spoilers),
Dent becomes Two-Face by the end of TDK, so no conflict there.

Ugh...this just fucking sucks...R.I.P. Heath.

I'm just amazed that people are so forgiving of the guy. He left a 2 year old without a dad. Awesome guy, this guy.

Its easy to say "oh, he had money, fuck him for killing himself".

But depression can hit anyone. It happened to Owen Wilson too.

his career was beginning to boom, and i was looking forward to seeing how it was going to go about. very sad to lose someone of good acting potential at that young of an age, and to drugs too. ugh

Well, Phil Hartman was pretty damn shocking and out of nowhere. And John Candy and Chris Farley hit me worse (but both were kind of expected). This sucks, because of the aforementioned TDK. I did like him in a few other movies, but not like those 3 actors.

Now that I'm here.
It's horrible for him and his family. I've moved on. Some homeless man will die of hypothermia tonight. There will be no GAF thread 25 pages long about it. Kinda sad.

Recast or rewrite, those are the options. The same thing happened to the Harry Potter movies, although that was much easier to hide, what with the giant Dumbledore beard.

Yep, we had the same source I see. That my second thought when I saw this. A split second after reading it I was like "NO!" and another second after that "What about Batman 3?"

Fairly shallow, but still reeling from this. Terrible tragedy. There are very few actors under 30 I can even stand and one more passes on.

And like I said, I'm his age and I'm expecting a child in a month. It breaks my heart to think of his daughter being without her had so young.

Well, at the very least,
the new Joker will have someone to emulate, so it wouldn't be that jarring of a difference.

Same deal, if it was an overdose. He was doing drugs, and died. There is a reason some people calm down once they have kids, and apparently this guy was too wrapped up in himself to care much for anyone else, including his daughter. But you know, RIP good man.
