He is one of my faforite actors. I love A Knight's Tale (yeah, I know). I was looking forward to getting to watch him in movies throughout my life, especially considering we are the same age.

Damn it.

I'm just amazed that people are so forgiving of the guy. He left a 2 year old without a dad. Awesome guy, this guy.

We don't know the details. Save it for a bit..

Rest in peace and God bless Heath. Your work was greatly appreciated and your legacy will long outlive your lifetime.

Same deal, if it was an overdose. He was doing drugs, and died. There is a reason some people calm down once they have kids, and apparently this guy was too wrapped up in himself to care much for anyone else, including his daughter. But you know, RIP good man.
He died with an overdose of sleeping pills, how is that "doing drugs".

Well, Phil Hartman was pretty damn shocking and out of nowhere. And John Candy and Chris Farley hit me worse (but both were kind of expected). This sucks, because of the aforementioned TDK. I did like him in a few other movies, but not like those 3 actors.
I thought out of them John Candy was the only one of them that actually died of natural causes (heart attack). Man that one really hit me hard.

Sorry to hear about Heath though, he was awesome in the Patriot, one of my favorite movies.

What? No they're not.

CNN Headline News is already talking about how he really gets deep into his roles and the character of the Joker may have been so sick and disturbed that it may have affected his personal life.

"Not Mary-Kate's Apt
Posted Jan 22nd 2008 5:41PM by TMZ Staff

A highly credible source connected to Heath Ledger tells TMZ the apartment where the actor was found was not owned by Mary-Kate Olsen or related to her in any way."

so it wasn't the trollsen

Of course. We all so desperately need to put the blame for this on somebody...and putting it on Heath himself is no fun since he's dead.

Wow they weren't even done with the Batman movie yet when he died? crap, I wonder what they're going to do.

R.I.P Heath, shame he had to die so young.

For the one millionth time, The Dark Knight is done. Principal photography is finished. They are in editing.

How could you say that? Are you psychic and know it was suicide? This upsets me because the guy was going downhill the last 3 months with depression. (anybody that saw recent pics could see the guy was hurting.) SO if anything it was an accidental OD and not like the guy was looking to leave his child fatherless.

WTF is wrong with you?????

Says who? As far as I know, filming for TDK is done.

And yeah, guys, use spoiler tags. I highlighted something not knowing it would be the fucking ending. =\

Fox is saying the cops aren't moving the body yet as there is "something" on the ceiling they are interested in looking at in regards to the investigation.

Well guys its the internets, I think all of us are desensitized to the limit that if someone like Tom Cruise would've died, everyone would be "lulz, good riddance".

Anyway, Heath was a talented guy - and he was really starting to show his true talent in the last couple of films he did (he was also getting good roles). Pity he died so early.

Ahh, this sucks. He was a good actor, and in the prime of his career. And I hope this does not fuck up TDK. Will they recast?!?

Just saw that apparently police brought a ladder into the building when the detectives went in to take photos of the crime scene

take that as you will

gilliam is a cursed director.
There really is some dark, dark humor to be appreciated that he was in the middle of shooting the lead role in Terry Gilliam's new film, with the history of all his production troubles in mind.

I can't believe this, though. Like others have said, this guy was just hitting his stride. Only 28 :(

I'm going by the preliminary suggestions. If it's a freak accident, then by all means ignore my comments.

Why don't you just withhold your comments until we get something official? You're acting like a tremendous asshole over something that hasn't been confirmed yet.

There is some debate as to whether or not this is a spoiler.

Dark Knight spoilers not clearly marked and tagged will get you a long-term ban.

Debate over, spoiler tag your previous post, Cheebs.

Just like you criticize people for acting like they knew his addiction, you act like you knew how he treated his family. I dont want to get involved in this stupid argument that always comes up whenever a celebrity does this to himself, but Im just pointing that out.

Anyways, always sad to see someone die young, rip.

Maybe this a huge media stunt for TDK? *crosses fingers*

Yes, they're going to recast the Joker for an expensive as shit movie that's already been shot.

It's not a spoiler really. They always said they didn't want to make the mistakes that the original Batman movies did where they kept getting rid of the villains so it's always been assumed that Joker would stay around.

Yeah, I know. This may go the way of the Benoit thread, where everybody came out expecting one thing, and found out another.
yeah that was creepy. Everyone was sad about his death and then realized he was a child murderer. Crazy epic thread.

I don't want to call it "my favorite" OT thread ever, but it was the most provocative, I believe. I have never seen bans fly like that in my life.
