Should have pc support day 1 out of the box.
That's what a VR headset is.Screen and controller. Has been and always will be the main and lasting way to play games.
I would've told Sony another VR was a waste of time, but people say they want innovation and experimentation, right?
Cost/Benefit/Quality ratio and doesn't need FacebookFeels like it’s a day late and a dollar short. Why would a PC bro get this over a Quest 3 or Valve’s rumored wireless headset.
Can't we play every single PC game on Quest 3???I have the quest 3 and it isn’t exactly swimming in games either, so that’s just the state of VR in general.
Every single game is a VR game? Can't we play every single PC game on Quest 3???
If you use them in a VR headset, yes.Every single game is a VR game?
It needs Sony though. Not a great prospect.Cost/Benefit/Quality ratio and doesn't need Facebook
You just described the Quest 3. So why would you get PSVR2, the only reason is OLED.Cost/Benefit/Quality ratio and doesn't need Facebook
That sounds awful. If you use them in a VR headset, yes.
Boy is on a mission ... given by a higher authority...with balls deep in his throatadamsapple cooking stealthy lately lol
Try three times. Fuckers never learn. Vita, PSVR, now PSVR 2. Some are even crying for a Vita 2 now.If you let them hustle you twice then that's on you.

After Vita I won't purchase any hardware from Sony that isn't a Playstation console.
Uh the 'industry' is doing fine. Their damage is almost entirely self inflicted.Sony literally has to fire 900 people and close a studio because the industry isn't doing well..
Ign: SoNy haZ GiVen UP oN Vr2 durrr...
No shit ign... they clearly can't have any expenses right now that aren't absolutely vital to the business.
I love vr but in their position they clearly have to axe the product if they want to stay in the game.
Are you the guy who sells them to people at Walmart? The thing doesn't sell. My Walmart hasn't sold a single one in the past 5 weeks.
Tbh the only headset I can think off that's fought ahead is apple with the apple vision. If Sony can replicate that with more power. It can be a 8k tv and entertainment in one. include the joypad/joycons in the package and can be a VR aswell. Apple is seriously onto something. Only problem with psvr2 is u needed the console. Sony vision playstation Pro wouldn't need a console just 6g network or wifiWould have worked out a lot better for them if they made it PC compatible from day one in the first place. I’m not sure how successful the first one was but I’ve always said VR headsets are still to expensive for the average console gamer.
If when/ the day comes where we can have high performance BR headsets for around that 250-300 mark ( about the price of a descent steering wheel and pedal set up) it will get more buyers.
Right now it’s the price of a console and overall I still don’t think VR has its killer app. I would love VR for racing games, flight sims, mech warrior… racing, flying and general vehicular combat. I’d love VR for that. But I dont think I’d want to spend 500 bucks for that experience on top of the price of console…. On top of the price of steering wheel and flight stick. That’s a pretty hefty asking price for a device with a limited library, no backwards compatible and probably no forward compatibility either. And I think that might turn some PC users off….. not being sure how well Sony will support it beyond PS5, when you probably could have just spent the money on a meta quest or something else and fealt a bit more safe about your investment. But maybe in a few years time their PC commitments will be more solid so PSVR can Atleast get PC and PlayStation customers to maybe pad out the numbers needed to keep inverted in VR. I hope they continue to do, so. As I said for vehicular games ( racing flight/combat based) they are unmatched for immersion.
First time I ever tried a PSVR it was with that star wars game…. The size of the battleships really impressed me. You never quite realise the scale and size of things in a game world until you see it through a VR headset. I remember trying this one shooting game ( kind of reminded me of virtua cop or time crisis) shooting gallery style games are awesome in VR. I’m actually suprised we haven’t seen a resurgence in arcade style gun games with PSVR. That gun game though?… can’t remember the name of it, I think it came bundled with PSVR for PS4…. That had me imagining a modern day virtua cop or time crisis. They are in rails so a dev would not have to worry about full independent 3D movement. As long as you can duck and weave in your couch it’s all good.
I also got to play PCars in VR on a full set up at some arcade in Jamaica. They had the full hydraulic set up and everything. It was fucking amazing. Would love dedicated a set up like that in my house. I’d never get off it!
I couldn't believe my eyes when I originally read that PSVR2 would not support PSVR content. I was sure that Sony would develope an input conversion utility that would allow the PSVR2 to emulate PSVR input and tracking. Such a waste. It's not over with though, and I believe (hope) that Sony has more in store for PSVR2. The idea that the platform is dead 12 months after release is hyperbole.
I highly doubt Playstation is going to buckle over PSVR2. LolSony literally has to fire 900 people and close a studio because the industry isn't doing well..

I could see them doing a soft relaunch.
