For those wondering exactly when the review embargo lifts for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, we can confirm that reviews will go live starting December 5 at 7pm ET/4pm PT. This is the exact same time that the game will be available for early access, with the full launch happening on December 9 for both PC and Xbox.

The gameplay looks janky and like something you'd expect from a double A game honestly. Graphics look great, the story looks ok from what i've seen far, but that gameplay is just weightless. The punching animation in particular is so bizarre and the whip gameplay feels off too. I just feel like this would've worked so much better as a third person action adventure game, instead of the first person stealth game they're making it out to be.

Swimming in 7's.

I think it'll be in the mid 80s, largely thanks to "Xbox" outlets (edit: and probably one or two nostalgia goggle reviews) skewing the average.

I'll play it regardless because it's on Game Pass. That feels like both a backhanded compliment and the current reality of Xbox's game output. Most of what they're putting out I wouldn't buy day one. Maybe not even on sale. But since they'll be sitting there on Game Pass, I'll give them a try.

Could be a spoiler thing...but not holding my breath as people would love to know the contents even before release.I mean It's Indiana Jones people obviously gonna look for it. Theres aways the possibility of they hiding things that they don't wanna people knowing.

It's on Game Pass. You get the sense these review scores are more important for its PlayStation release than anything else, especially if they want to release at full price.

I'm annoyed Machine Games was most likely pushed to do an Indy game. Regardless, I'll be happy if it he leans heavily into its stealth like the Hitman games do. Very few AAA budget games developed in that genre. It should be a unique experience no matter what

Am i missing something here or am i just tired? The article says its the exact same time as early access, are they accounting for new zealand release?

I was just going by the thread title, but seems you are right.

If it's actually good I'm pre-ordering it on PS5 because I'm a fan of the original movie trilogy and the Uncharted/Tomb Raider games.

But in all the gameplay videos they released the game looks absolutely average.
Let's see how if fares with websites not called Xbox ERA that have the 9/10 review already written "pie_tears_joy:

More like they were given the opportunity to continue existing. It's not like they were setting the world on fire with their last few Wolfenstein games.

This game will live or die by its combat and puzzles, and so far, what we've seen has been underwhelming.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

US early access is 6th, embargo is 5th.

Edit: I don't think they've said if the game will release simultaneously WW or if NZ trick will let you play early.

I still have faith based on the developer's track record, but this is usually not a good sign.

Good games have had late review embargos, but a lot of times it does become clear that the publisher is trying to hide either serious performance issues, or mixed/bad reception.

The lesson of course is to continue to never preorder games.

Say what you want about the Wolfenstein games, but there was an incredible amount talent behind them. I wish they were able to build off of that rather than jumping ship to do an Indy IP

Bethesda already killed Arkane by forcing them to develop co-op looter shooter Redfall. I hope they didn't do the same to Machine Games
