this is nothing like any BF. after launch only was band aids.
this here is to get feedback and create a battle field game the fans want. it took 2 years to make 2042 even remotely fun and playable

Even if it does help them make money that’s a very distant secondary concern of mine compared to making a game I would truly enjoy the next few years

sony did this with GT sport. and look at how great GT7 came out.
BF had legs for years until 5 and 2042 came about. BF1, 4, 3, and the BC games all were fun and could be played for years on end. thats what was lost in the last two.
im all for making BF great again. because it was my main MP game until 2042 fucked everything up. i still remember the beta and post launch of not being able to revive anyone or even heal squad mates

If you think people are going to pay $79.99 for a multiplayer only battlefield game after 2042, you're sleeping. Especially since cod can deliver single player, multiplayer, zombies/coop mode, and fund warzone for $79.99? lol at your suggestion. I will never ever buy a multiplayer only battlefield ever again. People complained that the devs have abandoned the BF experience the fans wanted, so now they’ve expanded the dev teams, worked to reimagine the game and are now trying to work in more fan feedback in the game’s development.

No Weather storms in the middle of a battle.
No invisible Drones flying around the map
No missing scoreboard for the first 6 months
No massive maps with 3/4 of it being empty unused shit
No more STUPID ONE LINERS AT THE BEGGINING AND ENDING OF A MATCH
No more buildings being made of URU metal

Not preordering but I'm hoping it plays as good as it looks.
I'm a long time fan of the BF games that has been let down too many times so I'll need to play a beta before I decide if it's worth preordering.
Destruction and animations look great and there doesn't seem to be any sign of shitty specialists which is a good sign. Keeping my fingers crossed that this delivers.

Unfortunately that doesn`t mean squat and I don`t trust these devs to deliver anything above mediocrity anymore.

Just don't preorder guys , coming from a guy who pre-ordered deluxe 2042.
I am really really doubtful they can deliver.
Just 4k 60 BF4 and we all will be happy on consoles.

to those getting in on this:
- no more random spread (shots should go where the ironsight/scope is aimed at)
- no more forced aim deviation from "suppressed" status
- no more artificially limited ammo on sniper rifles to force a motherfucker to go fight a tank with a pistol
- no more special powers (i.e. sensing enemy presence, wingsuit, etc)
- get the ttk closer to bf3/4
- no more retarded objectives (i.e. flag capture on top of a 50 floor building with whole defensive team camping 2 elevators)
- an air transport can't take more direct explosive hits than a tank and still be flying... fix that shit
Not even getting into the obvious shit like map variety closer to what we had in BF4, modern weaponry, normal gi joes in camo outfits and no fucking marvel style one liners for everyone. I want a nameless soldier that will disappear in the bushes or the grass, not some motherfucker with pink hair dropping one liners like they are playing laser tag with their friends.

BFV did this the best. Has the best gunplay in the series.
2042 is a mix of BFV and BF3/4.
BF3, 4, and especially BF1 had awful random bullet deviation/bloom.

BF1 had an excuse, the weapons are from the 1910's, so not terribly precise, except for the snipers, those were absolute fire
BFV had the worst maps ever in a Battlefield game and overall one of the least fun to play for me...
BF3 and 4 were definitely peak multiplayer Battlefield... if there was a game that could have persisted until today with constant new maps, that would be BF4, no doubt. Unfortunately it's a clown show these days with the cheater situation.

I have absolutely no confidence whatsoever anymore in this franchise. If by some miracle they manage to pull it off and replicate what diehard fans loved about earlier iterations, I'll happily buy it.

The majority of my posts on this forum are in various battlefield threads over the (many) years. An absolute embarrassing amount of pointless commentary/ complaints, etc.
I cannot for the life of me even remember what you're talking about. Like, I vaguely recall the name premium but cannot remember wtf it was. I'm sure I bought it. Took me years to learn my lesson buying dumb shit for games I liked. 2042 was the final nail in this franchise's coffin for me. Fuck these assholes.
