If you played the first game at release even at ten years old your now closer to 30 than 20.. 97% of the people who play this game won't have a clue what's going on

This game deserves to be reviewed in the 90's. Resident Evil has no business being in the 90's! I kid, but journalists better not drop the ball on this one.

Gamespot said the story is too hard to follow. Like I said most of them didn’t play the previous games.

IGN said it took him 27 hours to beat. I hope this is rushing, but its what I expect from a KH game.

imo the first was a big deal because it was Squenix doing a Disney crossover RPG. I didnt love it, but i recall reviewers saying it was a good arpg, and the worst part was the gummy ship BS.
people wanted more disney/FF charactes/worlds and answers to the story in the second. dont recall what critics said, but i think they said it was a good arpg, but confusing and obtuse story.
do you like Arpgs with ai partners? do you like disney? then maybe dive in. else dont get caught up in the hype.

No kidding. IGN has been slipping all over the place these days. I'd take anything they say with a grain of salt until other reviews drop.

Well, you can watch a recap of all the stories from the start menu of III. They're patching that in. I personally played through everything last couple weeks. I'm good.

The demo was ok that I played a month ago. Granted I have never been a fan of the series. The production quality is pretty fantastic.

Thanks man, I'll keep it in mind. I'm still planning on playing these games (although that plan grows fainter every day) so I won't jump in there yet, but I saved it to check it out if I decide to just play 3.

If you listen to any of their podcasts, you'd know this guy is a RABID Kingdom Hearts fan and was dying to play the game for years. I have zero doubt he finished the game.

The thing is, this games not at all type of game you can just jump in latest series like FF or Persona. You need knowledge of what happened in pervious games.

A game where you fight evil Disney villains in epic action scenes

Just like any game with story, its going to have cutscenes and if you haven't played the pervious games then it just gonna go over your head.
