Lady Gaga has already kissed plenty of ladies in her quest to be the world's most outrageous pop star.

And now she is set to lock lips with another woman - albeit in cartoon land.

She will share a smooch with Marge when she makes a guest appearance on hit cartoon The Simpsons next year.

The flamboyant star will doubtlessly approve of the wacky makeover she will receive from show creator Matt Groening's army of animators.

But the Pokerface singer also said her character will be as close to life as can be in a cartoon.
She said: 'I play a little bit of a slut. The apple doesn't fall far from my artistic tree.'

Gaga, 25, will make her Simpson's debut next year in an episode entitled 'Lisa Goes Gaga'.

Her animated self visits Springfield after learning low self-esteem is rife in the town, and attempts to cheer up Lisa Simpson through the power of speech and song.

'Lisa Goes Gaga' is due to air in the US in spring 2012 as part of the show's 23rd season, which launches on September 25th.

Why are there so many freaking guest stars on The Simpsons now? The writers must honestly not know how to write an episode without one.

that kesha tik tok was lame, ricky gervais' episodes were not funny at all, and now marge is suddenly jumping out of character

The title is "Lisa Goes Gaga"?

I just got into the Simpsons last year and so far I've seen every episode seasons 2-8 and nothing else. I'm not sure how much she has changed, but I really don't think the Lisa I know would be into Lady Gaga.

I can already picture all of the bad wacky attire jokes.

You should watch Mypods and Boomsticks. It kind of encapsulates the modern Lisa episode

Hasn't she been into fads before? Like when she called that Teen Line all the time? Or am I thinking of some other show?

Yet again Gaga demonstrates she's the most relevant, controversial, important and shocking artist of the 21st century. No one even comes close. There is no Taboo she will not explode. Mainstream America is terified of her success. This will change things. Forever.

yeah, you're thinking of the "Corey Hotline" episode. (i remember the subplot, but i can't attach it to an episode atm) but instead of relying on celebrity guest appearances, which were comparatively minimal in earlier seasons, they would parody the popular celebrities of the day.

i havent been following the simpsons for years but when i see an episode on tv, i still watch it.

Stop. Now. Right now. Go no further.

Scale of franchise abuse in order of longevity.

George Lucas abuse of the corpse of Star Wars > The modern Simpson's writing staff abuse of the corpse of The Simpsons > Sonic Team's abuse of the corpse of Sonic.

That's about right, isn't it?

I'd have a lot more respect for the writers if she ends up kissing Bart and leads him on only to dump him at the end. It would help remind me of the time when the show didn't suck.

jesus christ 23rd season

I've stopped watching around season 10...

has it gotten any better the latter half for those that stuck around ?
