i was never really fond of her, but the court order she got against bart made me despise her character. shes also the only character that can truly get her way in the show by crying. the moment she starts to cry in an episode, you can almost guarantee that the conclusion will end with her getting her way.

Well, the court order is apparently from season 16, which from what I'm aware isn't one of the highly regarded ones, and I can't think of a single episode where she cries to get her way.

Not to get too off track, but is there some general consensus concerning the must-see episodes post season 9? Watch season 9. Even the "hit or miss" episodes are pretty decent. As a whole package, not up to par with the best of the best, but I consider it the cutoff before the real crap starts. The only reason people dismiss it is because there are a few hints of the direction the show is about to take, but if you're not gonna watch those seasons it doesn't matter anyway.
Ugh, Vicious failure at edginess. What percentage of the audience for the Simpson is homophobic? Much less that 1%. What's the message here? That episode of Rosanne happened 17 years ago.
