Lords of The Fallen 2 is ignoring DEI and political agendas, developer confirms: "Goal is to maximize Player Enjoyment"

Though I enjoy the meltdowns, I'm not convinced this is a good idea either. They should just ignore the issue. They were asked, they replied "no" and that should close the matter, there's no need to insist. By discussing it further they are making it more important than it is.

You may be right, especially about the motives behind stuff like this. However, the original information about not focusing on DEI was not stated in a performative way by the company - it was shared in an investor chat. Next a person on Twitter commented about the Body A and B stuff and the company responded to that and later went on to make the poll. What I'm seeing so far is an effort to listen to customers and that's something positive compared to the usual condescending attitude we get (you know, gamers are toxic, bigoted, etc.).

Personally, I'm waiting to see if these changes are implemented when the game releases. The return of male/female, for example. Several gaming media sites are already writing hit pieces on the company, as well. If nothing else, I applaud their willingness to go against the activists on these sites and Twitter - not too many have been willing to in the past.

Nice post and thanks for clarifying that friend...

Cheers

They are virtue signaling and pandering. I just hope for their sake the game is good.

They are taking this far enough that it looks like they are considering it a marketable point. Who knows - they might be right.

It’s funny how marketing works

- they wanted sale boosts so pushed for DEI/ diversity
- now they see as no DEI pushing sales and it’s becomes its own marketing

What’s next? No DEI/no no DEI
