I plan to get one next year. But I hope the PSSR ML receive more updates, learn more process, matures and evolve more quickly and developers get use to it's capabilities. I still believe in the life cycle of ps5 pro, 4k/60 fps with RT will be achieved even with bigger games. We are still scratching the surface, its only 1.0 PSSR ML.

Yep, I'm in the same boat. I think the console's value will be much more apparent and enticing next year with releases like GTA VI and Ghost of Yotei, while PSSR improves in the background.

But what if it's true that the number of sales in UK is low, will that have big effect on the total number of sales worldwide? Ps5 pro is a powerful console but it really is expensive in UK, they have to find a way to bring down the price or add a good bundle to entice customers in UK. Is taxes in Europe especially in UK really that high?

This more future proof and more value than ps4 pro, due to it relies heavily on PSSR ML which constantly evolving and will receive improvements and updates. PSSR ML does the heavy lifting. This might even delay me in purchasing Ps6.

Strange. Maybe there really is an honest intention to give a discount especially for black Friday and Christmas season regardless if its selling or not, however media is misinterpreting it that its a flop that is why they brought back the price. If I were Sony instead of price cuts , why don't they just bundle it with a discounted PSVR2, or better yet a discounted 4k TV with AI upscaling.

Coming straight from my 2016 PS4 Pro, I'm happy with my PS5 Pro, and will be happier when I'll get the disc drive next week.

And I don't plan to get PS6 until a Pro version releases, I predict first years of PS6 will be even more cross-generational than PS5.

I had no doubt the launch would look like this. The interesting part will be how it keeps selling in 6 months or a year after the "hardcore" users already got it.


Just to be clear, I'm not saying it'll be bad, I'm saying I have no idea and it'll be interesting to watch.

I'm seriously thinking of returning mine. All this shimmering from PSSR makes me want to cry, even in games that are supposed to be good (R&C, TLOU). Not to mention I can't play most of my games because there are no drives anywhere (in Europe).

This. Even my big brother, who's a 'digital only console bro,' now wants a disc drive for his Pro so I can borrow him my physical copies of SM2 and Astro Bot for him to play over the holidays.
