Link outselling Mario is a little bit of a surprise. I suppose this was in the height of Hyrule Warriors time, so people would be after the Spinner among other things, but even so...

Mario has always been a more recognizable character than Link, but with Nintendo players, Link has been a more popular character and Zelda the more popular series than Mario since the 8-bit days. At least in most of the western world, not sure about japan.

Zelda don't sell well in japan.

Turns out Toei didn't find broadcasting partners for Digimon Adventures Tri, it's now a 6-part film series.

Wonder what impact it'll have on sales for Cyber Sleuth.

Given the first movie will come out in November, it probably won't impact Cyber Sleuth's sales at all.

10/10, great job Toei.

What the hell? How did this even happen? Surely the Digimon franchise is still popular enough to justify a broadcast series.

Oh, thought GE did a bit better, yeah guess there's a rise in popularity then. I think Rage Burst did a bit worse than Burst though?

Edit: Not that it matters too much, God Eater is a great success for Namco Bandai in general, excepting the PS4 version.

There might even be a bump when the anime premieres. That and I imagine the PS4 version is intended for better sales in the west whenever that happens.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
Yes, tomorrow.

It's actually in just a few hours, basically 9, going by other years. So, 8:00 GMT.
Then, less than 24 hours later, the Investor Meeting. After that, there will only be the usual E3 Q&A before the next Investor Meeting, due in occasion of Q2 Financial Releases in October.
Just a reminder: since these will be the results for the whole FY2015, we'll get brand new updates for this page(s)

Didn't Tales do pretty badly too? Opened okay-ish but then had no legs and the used market for it was flooded.

It underperformed not bombed, but like most PS3-only games released for a while now.
Being multi PS3/PS4 at launch would've probably helped him reach a number closer to 450k instead of having trouble to clear the 400k shipment the game had.

Tales also tend to have up and down in sales which fit with the console life cycle, Xillia hit 650k when software sales for PS3 were at their peak, and it was sort of the "right game at the right time", otherwise the Vesperia and Graces ports are respectively around 500k and 400k sales right now (with the former having incredible legs with best versions and reprint), Xillia 2 is at 450k and when all is said and done Zestiria should be around 400k for the PS3 SKU, so you can clearly see the trend.

All of that weren't its biggest problems though, but it's a matter that has already been discussed to death.

As for Yakuza its numbers were closer to a spin-off titles like Ishin while it was more branded as a main episode.
So far main episodes were selling around 500k and were rather steady, but 0 will have an hard time to crack the 400k mark, its ratio of PS3/PS4 sales is also pretty similar to Isshin which is worrying

Media Create's White Paper (that includes the annual top 1000 2014) has been released in Japan. I've been checking some libraries to take a look (and photocopies). But it seems no one has bought it yet.

Why do you hate Famitsu? =(

It's probably gonna take a couple of months before 2015 White Paper are available in libraries.
