Why did RE6 do so much better than RE5?
That figure doesn't include budget and Gold editions of RE5. RE5 did over a million if you include all editions.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U - 529,244 in it's first month
But keeping in mind that was during December I think Splatoon won't take too long to catch up especially with the impending August update where more people will probably pick it up as the value proposition and hype continues to build. We shall see how big it becomes, but things are looking real good in Japan for Splatoon especially with the fan art from famous manga artists coming out. I expect Splatoon to actually sell more than SSB Wii U due to the fact there was also SSB 3DS Released

At 370K we're shooting up the shooter chart pretty fast with not many signs of slowing down.
While the higher parts of the chart still seems like a stretch, it's going to rank very well in the end. It's pretty easy for me to imagine it going above Dirge of Cerberus.
(For the benefit of others, your chart from a previous thread.)

Splatoon Wii U bump - 69.8K
Mario Kart Wii U bump - 55.9K
Also it seems a lot of people buying new Wii Us in Japan are also picking up MK8
So can we put Famitsu digital in the garbage now.
Do you remember what the latest figures we have for U.S were?
Anyone got an update on that XBX vs TW3 comparison?
GamesMaya expects stock problems for Fire Emblem Fates (pre-orders were closed).
First Splatoon, then Rhythm Heaven and next one is FE: Fates.

Nintendo seems very insecure about their software as of late. Or maybe they are trying to artificially push for digital sales.
Media Create has Splatoon digital sales at almost 60k.
Pff. Fire Emblem's moving to tabletsI guess Fire Emblem is officially moving to handhelds.
Poor Nintendo their consoles.Time to release a hybrid.
Interesting, thanks!I thinj 105 vs 117 on MC, download unknown
Retailers order how much software they want, not publishers.
They're not reliable.Ehhh? Whats the problem here?
They're not reliable.
Aren't they in clear contradiction of stuff like Gunman Clive.
In case people is interested, and since we have more datas now
http://www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/software/ranking.html
Cause we got stuff from Beril, and now the Splatoon disparities (but download cards!), and some other stuff.
I believe, when they were first rolling it out, I read that their data is derived from voluntary responses at retail locations. I could be making this up though.

Beril said that Gunman Clive is over 140k. BoxBoy should be around that as well (it has passed Gunman Clive only recently). What I meant was can you post some hard data and comparisons please so I can see how you have come to that conclusion? Or point me in the right direction?
As far as I'm aware the Splatoon disparity can be explained by download cards.
Yo-kai Watch is still clinging into the Top 20 after re-entering last week from several weeks outside of it, albeit only with less than 2,000.
Remember when people said this would kill Pokémon?
Beril said that Gunman Clive is over 140k. BoxBoy should be around that as well (it has passed Gunman Clive only recently).
Gunman Clive never appeared on the monthly reports.
Pokemon is dead. X/Y failed to sell 5 mil in Japan.

1, Who is Beril? (Seriously I don't know who that is)
2, Would I be correct in saying that Famitsu excludes pretty much every digital only title? Seeing as the top 30 can drop under 1,000 units yet the game always has a physical release.
Let me know If I'm right or wrong on the above.
Gunman Clive was released before famitsu evens started doing the digital chart

Did we get sales for Vita in the past few NPD threads? I'm not doubting your numbers I'm just curious what they were for March - May.2.3m+ as of last month.
I assume FEif numbers will be combined in the tracking. I wonder what will be the split for the two.
No. 10 for 3DS eShop is 10 Second Run which is dsiware title
Sorry, meant Box Boy.
Beril is the creator of Gunman Clive.
Kirby Fighters, Minecraft (before physical release), among others were tracked.
Beril is a GAFer and is the dev of gunman Clive
